This is a new twist on Desperados that came out recently. I have my doubts about whether it belongs on this site. Ingredients: Beer, sugar, concentrated red fruit juices, Guarana extract (energy drink ingredient w/caffeine), tequila, cachaca (a Brazilian liquor made from sugar cane), citric acid, ascorbic acid...beware, there is a warning that it contains a bit of malted barley. Best by Aug 27, 2010.
A-Can looks like an energy drink with a Latin theme, and there are a bunch of fake medal-looking seals above the logo. Nonetheless, brew looks nice. Clear reddish-amber w/dense white-pink head, bits of tracing.
S-Smells like Kool-Aid punch w/a bit of booze added.
T-It tastes a lot better than a Red Bull, but it is a bizarre mix of flavors. Evaluating it as a beer, it's poor. I taste just a bit of malt in the backbone. Matching the ingredients, I taste red berries and fruit, as well as a blend of different types of booze that are most noticeable in the finish and aftertaste. The finish is fruity w/a touch of bitterness, so there must be a little hops in there. Evaluating it for what it is striving to be, it's fine. Like normal Despy, it's for people that like soda. It's sweet and easy to drink.
M-Too sweet, but not cloying. Light-bodied. Heavily carbonated.
D-Let's be honest...no BA is going to rate this brew positively. But to be fair, it accomplishes it's purpose, and it's drinkable. It's a good take on a hybrid beer/energy drink. I've tasted others, and this is superior. I could probably duplicate it w/some Bud, a thimble-full of tequila and cachaca, a bit of natural fruit punch, and an eye-dropper of guarana extract.

Picked up in a small grocery store in the suburbs of Paris. Drank from the 500ml can. The beer tastes overwhelmingly of fruit punch and a slight hint of booze. Wheat characteristics throughout. Jot bad in the end but overly sweet and artificial.

A 330ml clear glass bottle with a BB of Nov 2018. Brewed at the Heineken plant in Amsterdam. Purchased a while back from Home Bargains. The label calls it beer with tequila, guarana and cachaça; the ingredients include elderberry juice.
A: Poured into a tulip. A clear pinkish-orange colour with good carbonation. Forms a decent head of frothy off-white foam that lasts for a moment before collapsing and disappearing.
S: Aroma of sweet red fruit with hints of berries, sugar, lime, anonymous flavourings and a twinge of stewed leaves. Very much like alcopops but OK for what it is.
T: Tastes of sugary red fruit with notes of berries, juice, lime/citrus, nondescript flavourings and a hint of stewed leaves. Very sweet with no bitterness to speak of. Not very beer-like.
M: Mouthfeel is light, tingly and dry, with fizzy carbonation and a thin body. Pretty insubstantial but that goes with the style. Mildly astringent as time goes on. Aftertaste of sweet red fruits, sugar, lime and faint stewed leaves.
O: Meh - not very amazing but alright if you like sugary soda. Looks the part, while the aroma and flavour are sweet and juicy with hints of citrus. Watery body. Not much like beer but drinkable for all that; if your expectations are low then this brew will meet them adequately.

400ml bottle served in a tulip. 03.04.2018 is on the bottle, which I assume is a "best by" date. Traveled here in my friend's suitcase on his way back from Poland.
Pours a terrifying pinkish ruby, with a medium sized, just slightly pinkish head, lots of carbonation. Fairly clear. Smell was blazing before I got it in the glass. Smells like bud light and berries.
Taste is sweet -- like, someone poured strawberry syrup into a bud light. Not as sweet as a soda (or god forbid Mort Subite), and maybe still recognizable as beer.
Mouthfeel is not too thick, and a little sticky. Overall...I've had worse beers than this.

I bought a huge can of this while waiting for a ferry in Pointe du Boit, Martinique. The boat was late. I could have been drinking sea water.
It is a funky taste. I'm not sure what is in it besides a little tequila. Maybe some cinnamon. It doesn't work.
We shared and forced it down. Nobody got sick. Not recommended. I would have preferred more Lorraine, a decent local light blonde beer.
