Was in the Tallahassee area for a few days and went on the hunt for a solid craft beer spot. Well Proof proved to be that place and more. The atmosphere on a mid week night was very laid back as to be expected. This is a brew pub which also serves a solid selection of other offerings on tap as well as a nice selection of bottled beer. I tried their IPA and their Rye ale and both were top notch in my opinion. They have 3 dollar specials on pints every night from 5-7. There are two floors and they also have 32oz growlers to fill on the first floor. They also have a bottle shoop next door where one can fine great selections of beer, wine and fine liquours. Looking forward to visiting there again when in the area.

I like Proof alot and would probably go there more if it wasn't for the douche college crowds it attracts. Best beer selection in town and I like to go early to avoid the big crowds. The place to go for glassware giveaways and rare and hard to find beers in bottle and tap.

Great place to go drink. Besides the always awesome tap selection, and the fact that they host special release events, glassgiveaways (weekly), and rare beers in cask and keg, they brewing spectacular beer. Was there opening night (both of them), and most beer releases. Havent tried one yet I honestly wouldn't rate at least a 4. Highly recommend checking this place out.

All of there brews are usually 3 bucks. most others run 4-6 a pint.

I was so pleasantly surprised when I entered this bottle shop/brew pub. The staff were ultra attentive and helpful, and they knew their beer. For sure. Their selection is quite impressive, but not overwhelming at all. They have everything separated by brewery or style, which is quite nice. They also offer the mix and match six packs with lots of different singles to choose from. On the pub side of the building, the atmosphere is great, selection superb, and the staff was also friendly there. I will absolutely be heading back to visit this place for one of their many events.

Proof is a great little bar tucked away in a mess of FSU's college bar scene. Brewery on site, that knocks out some superb brews, esp their Rye. Liquor store attached that sells almost zero macro, and a medium sized craft selection, but the selection is well varied. I frequent here several times a week. If you're not of college age, don't worry. The college crowd doesn't show up until pretty late (9ish); so you easily find a seat and a bartender to chat beer with. Most of the staff is knowledgeable about most beer styles, and they certainly know the beers brewed in house.

Proof Brewing Company, as it has been expanded since March with the addition of the Brewery, now boasts 50 taps and the selection has grown in quality since. The upstairs with carry the more typical craft finds, with more common IPAs, stouts etc. while the downstairs usually hosts taps to the more expensive belgians and rarities (most recently Black Note stout). Be sure to try some in house brews, as they are extremely reasonably priced and the quality is on par with most craft breweries. The service has conitinued to improve as the bartenders beer knowledge increases. This is easily the best beer bar in all of North Florida.

I visited Proof two nights in a row this weekend. It provides a refreshing alternative to the typical overcrowded, overpriced, six-tap bars catering to the nearby colleges. Proof offers many styles of beer from a variety of states. There is no cover, and $4-7 will get you a pint of session quality brews otherwise unavailable in the region. I.e. one would be hard pressed to find another tripel at a bar around Tallahassee.

The atmosphere is relaxed downstairs and on the porch, and even after a game was popular but not uncomfortably crowded. The upstairs bar is more crowded but still had quick service.

The bartenders (particularly downstairs) know their beer and give good recommendations.

After my first weekend visit to Tally this is easily my favorite bar in the area.

Atmosphere: this place has something for everyone. The upper decks can be used for watching sports games (or presidential debates) and for a more crowded bar atmosphere...the bottom section is for the more crafty drinkers and boasts a classier menu and selection (next to their brewing equipment) and their is a large outside area for people who want to talk, relax, and enjoy some open night air.

Lots of space if you go at the right time

Quality: Great bartenders, a Huge number of taps, great beer selection, clean bathrooms, great location, good furniture, great design, good arrangement.

Service. Good ,good service. Could be better at times, but they do their best ot keep up with the huge demand.

They have over 50 taps and dozens more beer on bottle/growler/bomber. If variety is the spice of life, then poof is Mrs. Dash

Food: None. But they let you take in any food you want from nearby, and with a Jersy mikes, Chipolpe, Chick Fla, and sammies sharma all a 5 minutes walk away you can pretty much eat anything you want at the place.

Not the cheapest place to drink at, but for its quality is not a bad deal. I usually spend only 5-15$ if I go out and I never feel like their prices are unreasonable, and their is a drink for everyone at all price tiers

I've only been here once, but definitely want to return. I was lucky enough to go there when they featured their first Proof glass along with Terrapin Hopsecutioner. From what I could tell they had a great selection of beers.

I frequent their store next door, Liquor Loft. When they get new beer, I typically am first in line to get it. Unortunately they have a lot of the same old beer year round. They staff at both locations are very beer knowledgeable.

Proff just opened their basement brewery this month, so I am anxious to go!

Proof has a good beer selection with great brews constantly rotating on tap. The kill the keg Wednesdays provide a great atmosphere while providing good beer for a great price. The bartenders know their beer and are more than willing to give a good suggestion and a taste of a beer that you might like depending on what you usually drink. For the state of FL they manage to get in beers on draft that are hard to get ahold of in FL.
Overall, a very informed staff, laid back atmosphere, great beer with a rotating draft list, and a 110 inch projection screen tv to watch sports.
