*Bottle aged at least two years
*From Notes (7-04-14):

Pours golden amber with a modest, fluffy white head. Aroma smells of apple cider vinegar. Despite my best efforts at a controlled decant, great gobs of sediment meander about the glass, rising and falling amidst the ample carbonation. There's enough material here to found beach...

The taste is exquisite, featuring a delicious honey-sweet malt, apples, and alcohol most prominently. The malt flavor is most present on the fore, while the alcohol, which is surprisingly present for this ABV, features more in the finish. Some bubblegum manifests with a little warming, as do hints of cherry. Belgian yeast lends all the texture and character you would expect. The mouthfeel is rich and smooth, with just the right amount of crispness.

I don't know if it's the aging or if it always tastes this good, but this is a nearly faultless beer. Deftly balanced, the taste affords complexity without distraction. Overall, this is a luxuriously flavorful and refreshing brew.

A: The beer is relatively clear golden yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that quickly died down, leaving some lacing on the surface and a collar consisting of large bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of honey are present in the nose along with some notes of earthy/fruity yeast and hints of spices.
T: The taste has flavors of honey, which contributes a light amount of sweetness, along with notes of grainy malts and earthy/fruity yeast (apples stand out in particular among the fruit) as well as hints of spices.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The honey-like sweetness and grainy edginess of this saision didn't make this seem as refreshing compared to other beers in the style, but it is still rather easy to drink.

We've got a gusher! Being as it is a gusher it stirred up the sediment on the bottom and deposited it throughout the glowing orange body. Carbonation seems to be jumping from every surface of the glass while a dirty white head grows to a fizzy two fingers before quickly receding to a satiny cap. Patchy lacing gets left behind after each drink. This is a good looking beer regardless of the suspended sediment.

Is this beer brewed with honey? It certainly smells like clover honey, slightly sweet, with a nice estery white pepper spice. There are some floral qualities mingling with a welcomed dose of dewy orchard fruits including gritty pear, soft green apple, and underripe peach. The honey notes seem to accompany every other characteristic adding depth as opposed to overtaking the beer. There is a touch of tickling alcohol with warming.

The flavor falls a little flat in comparison to the nose but the core components are still present. The honey is mildly sweet upfront but dries up as it pushes through. All orchard fruits found in the nose are in the flavor profile but seem somewhat muddled. Soft white pepper spiciness and candi sugar brighten the back end while a touch of warming alcohol washes over the tastebuds on the swallow. Everything that made the nose so great is there in the flavor but comes across as muddled or dirtier.

A body that sits just north of moderate with a hefty slickness and warming alcohol leads me to think this guy is larger than the stated 6.5%. The spiciness lingers softly after the swallow keeping the tongue at attention while the alcohol heat dries things out nicely. This isn't your typical airy, light bodied saison but with all the honey notes the body works surprisingly well.

Netebuk is a sipping saison with an enjoyable honey forward approach. It has some of your more typical saison fruitiness but the honey changes things up a bit. I'd pick this guy up again and especially at the sale price.

A tulip, Farmers' Cabinet (is that apostrophe in the right place?).

A: The saison is a golden straw color, bright but hazy. A fluffy head, by far the largest of the day, sat contentedly in the tulip. A nice looker, especially after a couple of German- and Czech-style lager beers.

S: The nose is spicy with flowers and a surprising amount of hops. Grassiness is at a premium, a bold hoppiness. Full heftiness, think honey, is present as well. Pepper and spices linger.

T: The honey adds depth, a fuller taste. Lemon and pepper drive the spice body until hops kick in mid-sip. Those hops are grassy and floral, nicely strong for a saison. The yeast adds a mustiness that goes well with both the lemonpepper and the hops.

M: The mouthfeel is hoppy and spicy, a nice bite. The lower alcohol level is a plus, not so strong that I can't enjoy it.

O: A nice saison, a bold bite with a nice spicy finish.

The bar im at has this listed as a golden ale. It arrived with about a inch and a half of fluffly white head. Along with that is has a clear golden body. The nose is honey and light citrus, with touch of floral hops. The taste follows the smell mostly, honey is prominent followed by a light lemon and floral hop. It feels good on the palate, perfectly done carbonation which hold a thin layer of head and good lacing as well. Overall its an easy drinking simple beer with great flavors.

With a name like this, how could you not order it? On tap at 72 Hours of Belgium yesterday.

Clear yellow with no real head, this is decent. The nose is all pilsner malt with some Saaz. Almost like a Belgian pils, there's also some honey. Palate is disappointing. the grassy hop character is pleasant, the stale malt character, not so much. Not particularly complex or impressive. Drying on the finish with mild bitterness, this is decent.

Netebuk pours a hazy golden color, and is topped by a half-inch, bright white head that fades to a film. This is a very attractive beer. The aromas are subdued, but there are notes of lemon, citrus, and grass.

Grassy notes upfront quickly give way to sweet fruity flavors of bright citrus. The finish is crisp with a mild bitterness. This beer is medium-bodied with refreshing and vigorous carbonation.

I though this was a crisp and refreshing saison.

Poured into a Beer Hunter tasting glass.

pours a light golden hue with a huge white head. Leaves lots of lace on glass.

Aromas of chalk, lemonbalm, slight peppery notes.

Sip - cashews?, peppery yeast, lemon, interesting flavor mix. Some bite at the end, but not alcohol (too light at 6.5 %).

Mouthfeel is light, thirst quenching.

Very drinkable beer. Would be good after a work out or hard work out in the yard on a hot summer's day. Very nice beer.

Finger plus of bleached white foam, fairly loose, minuscule bubbles, dissolves swiftly without much dimpling, lacing slides off the glass like it was greased. Light orange to more yellow gold in color, faint gauziness with a few scattered bubbles within, holds light well. The nose has a pleasing creamy texture to it, punctuated by white grapefruit, tangerine citrus zest, round apricot and peach fruit scents, honey, fresh pastry dough, white pepper and ginger balance each other out, interestingly neither particularly malty nor hoppy, mild cocoa as well as straw/hay, overall just relaxing and soft with no one element dominating. Full-bodied, the carbonation active enough that you can't call it "soft," however, it spreads fully across the palate, no pore untouched. The sweetness of the apricot, pear, peach, red apple, white grape fruit offset a touch by the tang of the white grapefruit citrus. More raw dough and yeast than cooked bread, its dryness also checks the honey, sweet baking spices and roasted candied nuts. Full weight through the finish with flavor to spare and some prickle. If it makes sense, there's complexity in its simplicity which, to me, is the best attribute of this beer style.

Picked up at Plump Jacks in SF CA. Beer pours a gorgeous copper blond peach color with a thin white film. The smell is of a bakery, fresh sweet breads with a malty finish. The taste is lovely, seriously this beer taste like a peach cobbler! Huge peach tones with big time bready-ness. This beer is awesome in the taste department and i would highly recommend this beer to any one who likes Belgian style ales.

A bottle at Monk's Cafe. Big thanks to Mr. Peters for breaking this one out. Shared with Sierrags, Cornelia and Ray. If this one tastes as good as the little winged goat on the label is cute then I am sure this one will be nice.

A-Hazy amber tinted golden yellow with a thin off-white head. Head reduced to a thin ring and left spotty lace.

S-Honey and fruit (apple/pear) with a touch of earthiness and peppery spice.

T-Honey and biscuit malt sweetness pervades initially. Secondary spicy / earthy notes kick in and help balances the sweetness out.

M-Medium bodied and quite smooth. The honey aspect offers a fuller feel with a good amount of "slickness' Almost like a braggot. Drying finish.

D-Hard to believe this is "only" 6.5%. This beer drinks a lot bigger than that. This is a sipper to enjoy. A saison that drinks like a light mead. Very flavourful and enjoyable. We have a winner....time to fly my little friend!

What a cute bottle! Pours a clear light orange with a small white head. Aroma of apples, pears, bready malt, and yeast. Flavor is similar with lots of light fruits and a spicy kick in the finish. Very pleasant, smooth, and easy drinking. Great Belgian Ale.

What a cute little goat-guy on the wrapping paper and label of this one.

Pours a quite foggy brown toned yellow with a thin creme head. Nose is heavy on honey tones. Flavor is quite hearty. Much more than I was expecting. Honey and sweet tones are there, but so is an overall earthy character. Oddly there seems to be an alcohol tone on here, which I find just weird since this is only 6.5%. It still meshes pretty well and presents a nice hearty drinker. Feel is smooth on liquid and thick and carbonation is middle of the road. A nice drinker. A bit heavier than I would have expected and that strange alcohol tone still pervades, but it's a nice one overall.
