Notes:
A malty, caramel flavor with hops that give it a spicy, citrus taste with a slight grape. Fruity, flowery aroma.

Sampled at the local Fall Festival.
A deep red pour with a decent head of foam and good retention.
The smell was on the hoppy side with notes of citrus fruit and a bit of pine.
The taste was disappointing. I'd call it a real rough taste with an abundance of bitter notes but no real harmony.
Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Still, it did not feel smooth.
Drinkability? The one pour was more than enough. That being said, the other 2 brews they brought were delicious.

On tap at the brewery upon recommendation by the bartender. According to the sign the beer is 7% abv and served in a flute. Arrives a deep amber color, clear, with a 1 finger white head, good retention and lacing, looks good. The nose is slightly hop forward with citrus and pine tones, as well as a caramel malt presence. Not all together powerful but not bad at all. The flavor on the other hand is unbalanced and too bitter. The hops, while providing a large bitter flavor, don't bring much else to the beer it seems. The pine and citrus tones found in the nose do not blend well with the caramel and bitterness. It's a chore to drink. Only finished half the glass before returning to the bartender who was rather puzzled I didn't enjoy it. Perhaps it's just me? In any event the beer is medium bodied with adequate carbonation though rough around the edges. I would not drink again.
