Tick provided by Bobby. Thanks?
A: The pour is a cloudy pale yellow/straw color with a finger of white head.
S: Has some banana to it which is appropriate, but it's almost all down hill from there. Green apple and metal are the first indicators that this won't be good. The booze and urine seal the deal.
T: Metal and banana open things up, leading me to believe I'm in for more of the same (in terms of the nose). A medicinal character overall with a bit of band-aid for good measure. Plenty of green apple, lemon, and booze.
M: Light to medium in body with a moderate carbonation.
O: Pretty crappy stuff. I'm not sure how Whole Foods keeps getting the (seemingly) exclusive distribution of these shitty breweries.

Bomber from La Bodega in Riverside. $4.49. 6.3% ABV. Admittedly, I had never heard of the brewery when I stumbled upon the beer at the store. Apparently they built all of their brewery equipment themselves. The label calls this brew an unfiltered hefeweizen.
Pours a honey golden with a slight cloudiness. It gave me about a one-finger head that looked nice and creamy, but dissipated relatively quickly. Smells like a bunch of bananas with lots of clove and spice, then some apple juice, maybe a touch acetic. Tastes like full on ripe bananas along with copious cloves. The level of spice here is pungent, so there is not a lot of yeast complexity or wheat taste. Intense compared to a regular hefeweizen. The banana and spice back off in both the nose and flavor as it warms, but a bit of an acetic finish appears. The mouth is pretty nice, feels rich but easy to drink.
Overall, a decent attempt at a hefeweizen from a very new brewery. I would like to know more.

Always interesting to see a new brewery pop up, particularly one based in the 909, out of Rivertucky.
Spotted this at the Whole Foods Tustin. Strange metallic silver bottle with faux (or maybe real?) asian lettering. Lots of bold claims on the bottle, including "modern beer for the modern man." Their website is super annoying. Turn your sound off when visiting. About 2.49, if I recall correctly, for 22 oz.
Pours a straw-ish yellow with a gigantic white foam head. Smells ... hmmm... like chemical laden bananas and a bit of spicy cloviness. I can't get around the chemical nature of this. It's even worse in the flavor. Just seems like the taste was injected through something other than fresh, wholesome ingredients. The bananas are overpowering, and it is just so artificial. Can't put a better name to it than that.
Mouthfeel is airy and bubbly.
