The smell got notes of caramel and dried citric fruits. Some spicy hints and a touch of smoked chilli. It is dry with some roasted notes, hints of vanilla and grilled meat. It is quite simple with some fruit candy flavours.
The colour is cold gold (20 EBC), the liquid is almost clear. The two finger head is off-white. It sinks slowly leaving some lacing.
The taste is bitter with an elegant hoppy flavour of bitter oranges, lemon vodka, sweet malty flavours of bread and dough. Medium body. The aftertaste is hoppy and quite bitter with some passing very dry, almost astringent, hints. Lemon curd, lemon juice some peppery notes and a touch of cardboard in the aftertaste. Some alcohol in the finish as well as a touch of root crops.
The carbonation is strong, the bubbles medium sized. The liquid is smooth.
Way too much odd off-flavours and not enough citric flavours for me.

A: Pour is slightly hazy pale copper. The head is off-white, pretty large and thick. Dissipation takes some time and leaves nice lacings.
S: Sweet caramell malt with piney and citric notes. Lots of American-style hops, both bitter and floral.
T: Kind of offensive pine at first, also fruits; pineapple, lemon and grapefruit. Sweet caramell malt kicks in after a while. But there's an off-taste, almost like artificial candy-cherries.
M: Aftertaste lasts for some time and holds strong dry bitterness. Body is medium and carbonation is mild.
D: Overall a pretty nice APA, but the artificial candy-cherries kind of ruined it for me.

The beer is clear dark amber with red tints, medium sized bubbles, an off-white high head which leaves good lacing.
The smell is citric and floral, grape-fruit rolled in hay and squashed in a pine slope ...
Initially sweet caramel on brown bread, crushed grape-fruit, juice, seeds and peel.
Medium low carbonation, soft - yet refreshing, a dry finish.
A solid ale, not top notch, but good!
