The smell is mild and creamy. Some bitterness and a hint of solvents. Grass, hay and dried herbsflowers. Some alcohol. Sweetness and caramel. A bit peppery.
The colour is warm gold (21 EBC); the liquid is almost clear. The two finger head is pale beige. As it slowly sinks down, it leaves quite a lot of lacing.
The taste is light and sweet with distinct notes of hay and dried flowers. Hints of apricots, raisins and sweet bread. The body is quite weak. Alcohol and solvents in the semi-sweet aftertaste as well as some treacle and a moderate bitterness. The finish is warming and a bit chemical.
The carbonation is medium strong, the small bubbles smooth. The liquid is smooth.
A bit too peppery and alcoholic for my taste.

A: Pour is cloudy amber with a medium-large thick and creamy tan head. Nice lacings after slow dissipation.
S: Rich malt, semi-sweet - bready almost doughy. Butter and cream. Some fruits, but a bit held back for the style; red apples and faint orange sezt.
T: A great balance between floral English hops and buttery notes. Dark bread. A bit more bitter than the smell. Malt is mild in sweetness. Again orange sezt and red apples.
M: Aftertaste is medium-long and holds mostly mild bitterness. Body is medium, but very creamy and smooth. Carbonation is mild.
D: A very nicely balanced EPA. Not too much of anything.

The beer is clear and light amber, very small bubbles, an off-white head, some lacing and thin curtains.
The smell is much in the hay stack area, with a bit of old closet and rubber boots - in a positive way!
Tasting initially sweet brown bread with nuts, a dash of bitter oranges and finishing in a short alkaloid bitterness.
Little carbonation, minimal bubbles, a soft rather simple body, a dry finish.
A good, non-intrusive ale, good with food.
