Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub.
Served as a dark amber colored beer with off-white puffy head.
Smell is mainly about the hops, with copius amount of piney and citrus hop present.
Taste also is domintaed by the hops with a light malty background.
Finish is somewhat thin with minimal taste retention.
A pleasant enough beer, but nothing extraordinary

Sampled from a growler on 9/4/03
Appearance: Nice mahogony color. Poured with a nice thick white head that eventually diminished to a touch of white lacing.
Smell: Nothing overwhelming, just nice hints of malt and a light flowery hoppiness.
Taste: Very enjoyable, with a nutty/maltiness balanced by a nice hint of hoppy bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, with nice refreshing quality.
Drinkabilty: I could stomach 2 or 10 of these with some nice BBQ ribs.

On tap at the Stuart, FL location. Deep burgundy color. Thin patchy white head. Not much staying power. Slight toasted carmel malt smell. Heavy handed smell, roasted corn as well. Taste was a pleasant surprise. Nice blend of malts. Toasted carmel malt, smooth sweetness present throughout. Touch of hop bitterness, just enough to be respected. Maybe Cascades. Slight biscuit presence. Aftertaste was just a touch slick, aftertaste reminded me a bit of a Killians, believe it or not. The best of their beers offered here. They didn't have the Porter here or I would have tried it.
