A: golden color. Two finger head, little retention. Little to no lacing - watery.
S:grain and maybe some floral notes.
T: not bad for style. surprising high hoppy finish. the rest is similar to smell. not impressive but on the better side considering style again.
M-light body and high carbs.
D:I didn't really enjoy this beer much. The best that can be said for it is that it is better than some Euro Pale Lagers I've had and no worse than most

DISCLAIMER: I made an educated guess when trying to choose the style for this beer. None of the three Black Turtle bartenders I spoke with could give me anymore information about the beer other than "It's a lager". Euro Pale Lager seems to be a bit of a catch-all category anyway, so it goes...
Served in a .3L mug at the original location. Review written by Wiseman Nick using notes.
Appearance: One-finger, creamy, white head was kept alive for quite some time by scant streams of carbonation. (If that was a little too confusing, how about this: retention was pretty good.) Body was clear and gold. Moderate lacing; cloud-like.
Smell: Farts, sour yeast, and weird salty bitterness. No joke, this was pretty damn putrid.
Taste: Doughy malts followed by salty, piney, and even earthy, hops. Assertive bitterness for the style. I dig. Tart, bitter, and enjoyable.
Mouthfeel: Spicy, sharp, and light yet malty. Finishes bitter and a little dry.
Drinkability: Other than the smell, this was a pretty decent lager. Still, there may be better ones out there. The Black Turtle Dark is a novelty here in eastern Europe. Black Turtle Light just blends in with the crowd.
