Reaonably spacious inside for a pretty small place - Czech themed. Small, split bar in back, behind some tables. Has something of a ski resort bar feel to it, along with a Bohemianish theme.

Only four beers on tap - Czech/German styles.

Service was pretty friendly, though a bit slow.
You can order six different sizes ranging from sample to pitcher. Beers not served in correct glassware, as it depends on size.

Remember to ask for non-chilled glass and no fruit, or you will get both.

I had two of the four - nice enough, nothing special (I liked the Bock more than the Pils).

Didn't eat, so can't comment on food.

Worth a quick stop if you are passing by and looking for a German/Czech style brews (and food), but certainly not worth going out of the way for.

I think this place is first, a restaurant, and second, a brewery. That being said, they seem to do their beers very well. If you like German food and beers, this is your place.

My wife and I stopped here for dinner and beers when passing through town on a vacation trip. There are only 5 beers available, and Utah law does not permit more than two alcoholic beverages to be served at the same time, so between the two of us were able to order sample sizes of 4 of the 5 beers, and then we shared them. I'm not very experienced with drinking many authentic German-style beers to know whether these beers were brewed to style, but they were very tasty and we liked all of them.

The food here is the star of the show, and their food offerings seem to be very authentic (although, like the beer, I'm not an expert on German foods either). We thoroughly enjoyed our choices.

Our only complaint about our visit was that the restaurant was very busy and crowded (that has to says something about the quality of the food and beer), and the tables were very close together to accommodate the demand. For a great change of pace, this is a quality place to visit.

Stop #327 on my world brewery tour.

This is the best German brewpub that I've been to so far (having only been to three of them).

Cozy, low ceiling interior with hops hanging in the bar area. Feels like your in a chateau in the Alps. Old-school copper brewing system visible near the front.

I sat at the bar and went with the sampler..
Weissbier with a lager yeast (unusual?)
Czech pils
Viennese lager
Schwarzbier - 08 GABF silver

I doubled down and got a pint of the Czech pils.

All the beers were excellent examples of their respective syles. Drinking fresh, well-done lagers like this should be a mandatory requirement of all beer explorers. These beers are so often done poorly that it can turn one off.

Excellent work and I look forward to returnning for a meal as well.

I found my new spot in SLC. Even though I am not a big fan of the four beers they serve, I found the Pilsner to be very well presented and quite drinkable. They do offer a few guest taps, but I didn't really explore those.

Cool decor, biker stuff, Vespas, a boatload of hops above the bar, not to mention the structure of a log cabin ski lodge.

I tried the Schnitzel with German mashed and crout and it was very filling and quite delicious.

Also group and family friendly for larger parties, they have a whole seperate section upstairs.

I'll make this a regular stop during my SLC tours.

Stopped in during a recent trip to Utah. Was recommended by a customer. Very inviting atmosphere. A cross between Rocky Mountain hunting lodge and Bavarian Ski logdge on the inside: timber construction with stone on the inside. Nice outside covered seating area. Service and food were the best aspects of the visit. Waitperson split our check and to a special request to the kitchen. Food was hearty and very tasty (I had the Old World Roast pork, which was exceptional and very reasonably priced). I was disappointed in the beer however, which I found too light for my tastes. There were only 5 drafts available. I'd go back for a meal, but not the beer.

I just recently got back from a wonderful trip in Salt Lake City. One of the highlights of my trip was the Bohemian Brewery and Grill. Located at 94 East 7200 South Salt Lake City, Utah, 84047 it is just 10 minutes south of the city center. Well worth the visit for a great meal and sessionable lagers. The city is still hampered by conservative 3.2% laws, but that doesn't seem to affect Bohemian Brewery since most of their flagship beers are close to that percentage under normal brewing guidelines. They serve 4 main selections on draft, which includes a true Czech pilsner, a nicely hopped Vienna lager, a super light wheat lager, and a rich Black Bock called Cherny Bock which mean Black or Dark in Czech.

I decided to do an interview with Bohemian Brewery since I was a resident on the Prague, Czech Republic for 6 months. In my opinion their Pilsner was their nicest beer. It truly brought me back to Prague with very memorable flavors. It's hard to find a great Pilsner in the US that is fresh and made properly. Bohemian Brewery really does a great job with quality of their ingredients and follows the strict German Purity laws.

You would think that with nearly perfectly made lagers that it would be the highlight of the restaurant/brewery. Not even close. The food is amazing and would crush any expectations you have for a normal microbrewery restaurant. All food is made fresh and is a fusion of Czech, German, and American cuisines. I really enjoyed my sausage and peirogie platter and my partner really enjoyed the garlic burger and fresh cut fries. The food was a pleasant surprise.

If you get the chance to visit the great city of Salt Lake, I would highly recommend visiting the Bohemian Brewery.

I always enjoy my outings to the Bohemian. There's a great atmosphere at this place. I went there tonight, and there was some dude wearing bighorn sheep antlers on his head.

It's like a little taste of Europe. The beers they offer are great, but the selection is quite small. I had their amber lager tonight, and it was a fine example of the style. it held a nice head and laced beautifully all the way to the botom of the glass. The service is nice, but not spectacular. the food was pretty good, but once again, nothing to write home about. All in all, I say if you're in the area, definitely go. If you're not, don't go out of your way.

The place is very cozy and reminds me of staying in a cabin in Swiss Alps. I haven't been there for awhile, but I remember the food wasn't that good. My girlfriends dad is a huge food guy and he also was not impressed with the food.

The beer on the other hand was very good. I had the pilsner, it was very tasty, and would have been perfect for a summer day bike ride through the mountains. I always buy the Vienna when its available on tap in bars. The Vienna is a very well crafted brew, I recommend it with a veggie wrap at the Brewvies bar in downtown Salt Lake City. I not to educated on the bitterness and hop selection in most beers, but from what I can tell, they do a great job at crafting a well rounded beer.

Located just a few blocks east of the nearby light rail station, the building featured a grain silo on the right side with the rampant griffin logo painted on it. The copper-jacketed brewhouse was visible in the front window, followed by another series of windows overlooking both the restaurant area and a series of multi-national flags in the overhead.

The entryway was on the far left side of the building and the short vestibule opened onto a glass cabinet of logo items to the right and the m.d.s. to the left. Notably, the door handles were fashioned to resemble steins. Once inside, I was shown to the copper-topped bar in the back right corner of the space. The whole place had a very rustic feel, like being in a hunting cabin with the exposed log cabin-like logs, the mounted birds, and the game heads. Above the bar was a log lattice draped with dried hops vines. In the dining room, past the brewhouse was a cartoonish painting of The Good Soldier Svjeck smoking a pipe, from a WWI novel by Josef Hasek. Centrally, they had a working stone fireplace as well as a set of stairs leading up to the second floor. Up there, they had another dining area, usually for private parties and overflow, as well as another fireplace and a collection of vintage Vespas on either side of the space. We held evening Vespas while I was there. Kidding. Lunch consisted of the Weinerschnitzel.

Beer: I have to say, the Czech Pilsner was much better here at the brewpub than it had been the previous evening at The Bayou. I had a full pint of it, plus samples of Viennese Lager and Cherry Bock, skipping only the Bavarian Weisse.

Five beers on tap. The Czech Pilsener was very good. Vienna was good as well but the carbonation was a little sharp. Otherwise a fine beer. The Cherny Bock was miscategorized, should have been a Schwarzbier. The Bavarian Weiss Beer was fermented with the pilsener yeast so some of the weiss characteristics such as esters and phenolics were missing. It was an enjoyable beer anyway. Good for a lawnmower beer. Seasonal beer was a Chocolate Porter. It was too bitter because of the Chocolate malt and Cocoa bean combination. It could have been a bit sweeter to balance the bitterness.

The Schnitzel was very good. Very tender with good seasonings. I had them substitute the spatzel instead of the mashed potatoes. The mixed veggies were very good as well. Seasoned perfectly.

A very good experience, friendly attentive staff.

I would recommend this to anyone who visits Salt Lake City to try this place.
