On a 4 hour layover, this is a must. Denver International is full of taprooms; making it one of the greatest airports in the world.
It is, of course, in an airport however. So it's packed full of tired people that just want a quick drink, and a staff there to accommodate that need. It feels like any bar in an airport really, just New Belgium themed and has excellent beer.
Oh the beer.
The beer, the beer. Any problems this place has is quickly made up for when you're stuck in an airport for hours and then a waiter hands you a 1554 Enlightened Black Ale in the proper sniffer glass. Golden. Enough said I think.
Best place to stop into if you're stuck in Denver International. I might adjust my flights, just so I can stop in again.

Lord I never thought I would be reviewing an airport bar, but the awesomeness of Colorado beer culture has created a decent beer bar in the heart of an international airport. Keep in mind, the prices are a bit higher than a regular bar, as expected. Still, the beer is fresh and they have around 8 New Belgium selections. The food is actually pretty decent too (standard sandwiches, burgers, etc.) and servings are generous. Maybe the fact that I was drinking my last glasses of Colorado beer after a fantastic trip made it even better.
For slightly lower beer prices, but a smaller selection and no food options search out the New Belgium Spoke in a far off corner of the airport.

Had some time to spare, so we headed to the end of the terminal to find this place. It's typical of any airport bar/food place.
The beer selection was good and caters to all types. Nothing out of the ordinary on tap, but had a solid lineup.
We just split the fruit salad, which was really good.
However, the service was sub-par. They weren't that packed, but the wait staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than refilling beers. Oh well....life goes on.
Being from Hawaii, mainland prices all seem reasonable to me.
Overall: This was a good place to relax a bit in-between flights, but I think next time I'll just belly up to the bar and do my ordering from there.

With a couple hours to spend in the Denver Airport, there isn't much else to do but have a few adult beverages.
I went here first as they close at 10 and my flight landed at 9. A handful of New Belgium beers on-tap along with the assuredly omnipresent (at least in Colorado) Coors Light.
I ticked a Blue Paddle and Belgo IPA. Service was great and the prices seemed pretty fair, too. Especially for an airport.
Didn't eat anything as I'd already shoveled far too much food in my face earlier in the day.

On the way to NE for work, had a layover both ways and took some notes.
Atm- A regular airport bar/lounge. Nothing to flashy or grand. Simple beer folks not really anything exciting.
Quality- Quality over all was pretty good. It could have been a tad better but for a travler why be nit picky.
Service- My waiter was good. Attentive to refills, quick with food and quick with the check.
Selection- Standard NB flights and offerings, 1 special tap. Way there, LOF Dunkel, way home Metric 10/10/10
Food- Good quality food. Tasty, fast, and pretty fresh tasting.
Value- Not bad for a quick bit, about 20 for a big beer, food and tip. Not the worst I've seen.

comfortable place not overly congested like some airport places. I thought it was relaxing (not crowded in the early afternoon when I was there).
Service: This was a definite positive. I sat down at a table and the server showed up pretty quickly. We talked about beer and he knew his stuff. I find that unusual for an airport place.
Beer: I had called the day before and talked to someone who also knew his beer and asked which seasonals he had, which he described in detail. When I got there the next day I was told "they didn't come in" although they were on the beer list. I ordered an Abbey which I enjoyed. It came in bottle at the right temperature and I was brought a tulip glass. Next I ordered a 1554 black which was on tap and in a "pint" glass which the server warned me would be 14oz serving. OK but what was disappointing was, it was ice cold and of course tasted like ice water! I complained and was offered a replacement which I wasn't in the mood for. The server did tell me that they had been getting complaints that "the beer is too warm".
Food: I ordered the buffalo burger to get in the Colorado mood. A mistake, it was pricy and must have been grilled for 2 days it was that dry and tough.

3 hour layover in Denver, what else is there to do? The terminal is massive and the New Belgium Hub was conveniently located at the opposite end of the terminal (near terminal 80) from our flight. After the 15 min. trek down there we were seated right away at a window table inside the restaurant with a great view of the airport.
I had eaten a big breakfast so I wasn't too interested in the food. My buddy ordered a french dip which looked very tasty and he didn't have any complaints, I eventually ordered a sweet potatoes fries which were drizzled with some sort of sweet & sour sauce, they were very good.
We were both interested in the beer, which was why we walked 2 miles across the terminal to get here. They have all of their popular brews on tap as well as the seasonal (currently 2 below). They also have a few of their other brews available in bottles. I had a 2 below (winter seasonal) and a Ranger (IPA) both on draft were very good. It was nice to see someone still using a full size pint glass. My buddy ordered a Tripel and a Mothership Wit which were both in bottles. I think the bottles were like $5 and I paid about $7 for the pints, but there is a noticeable difference in volume between the two.
All in all a pretty decent eatery, especially considering its in an airport. Definitely worth the visit if you have a couple of hours to kill while traveling through Denver.

was a great option compared to most options at airports. had lunch and a few beers during a couple hour layover.
I think they had about 8 of their beers on tap, plus a couple in bottles. I had the 1554 Black Ale which was excellent, and a bottle of their Abbey Dubbel, that I was less impressed with.
atmosphere was typical of a airport place with tightly spaced tables, but they did a decent job with some interesting decor to go along with the bicycle theme of Fat Tire.
The food came fast once ordered, but service was kinda spotty, and it seemed like one table actually got up and left while waiting a while for initial service.
I had the french dip sandwich, which was good, and the sweet potato fries were good too. prices were decent for being in an airport.

Having low expectations for an airport place, this New Belgium hub was a welcome plus in my book. Around 6-7 of their beers were on tap, with others in bottles. Much better than the limited offerings at typical airport bars, or the lame Rock Bottom in the 'C' terminal. Food menu was a bit lame with almost entirely meat-based options, and prices seemed a notch high compared to other airport spots. French fries weren't very good in taste, and it's hard to mess up fries.
Our service was impeccable though with prompt return visits, beer refills, and a swift checkout so we could make our flight.

Nothing says welcome to Colorado like stepping off a plane in Denver, riding up the nearest escalator, and being greeted by a New Belgium restaurant and bar called New Belgium Hub. It really made the layover time on the way to and from California easier to pass.
My girlfriend and I looked around for a bit before walking back and seating ourselves by the back windows which overlooked the airport and mountains in the distance. The whole vibe of the place was very in-tune with the entire New Belgium feel and design. Eclectic would be a good descriptor. At the entrance, tables lined either side of the walkway leading to a hostess stand made from a silver bicycle constructed from metal and bent for function. Inside featured an industrial ceiling with exposed duct work. The walls were all painted a light pastel green and pictures of bicycles and New Belgium memorabilia hung scattered around. My favorite piece must have been the three bike wheels fused together to create a chandelier. All the small round tables were painted to resemble the New Belgium logo which was cool too. The feel of the place was spot-on for what I would expect New Belgium to be.
We were attended to promptly and ordered up some brews. I asked for a tap pour of New Belgium's lips of faith wild ale which was $6 while my girlfriend got a bottle of Mothership Wit as it was out on tap. A handful of other New Belgium brews were available too, some on tap, some in bottles. The selection was just above average. They did have a good variety of styles from their beer list to choose from as well as a few domestic beers. Both beers were delivered nice and fresh as was the prompt food delivery.
For dinner the first time there we enjoyed an appetizer of mushrooms battered in New Belgium Fat Tire for $8.95, delicious but a bit steep. They came terribly hot and topped with thinly shredded Parmesan cheese and were flanked by two dipping sauces. While it seemed expensive for an appetizer there were more than we could finish and it tasted fantastic. So much so that we stopped there again on the way back to Milwaukee and got beers and mushrooms. We weren't too hungry so we split our main course which was called the Rocky Mountain Avocado Chicken Sandwich. At $9.95 it was ok but not as good as the mushrooms. The chicken was cooked well but the sandwich didn't arrive with any sort of sauce or condiment on it to compliment the flavors which made it rather dry. Fries were on the side and were typical French fries. It's hard to go wrong with those. The best part of the service was that the entreé was brought out to us split on two plates.
All in all, it's definitely a nice place to have a bite and beer in between/ waiting for flights. We went back for a second time on the way home, so it couldn't have been all that bad. It's quality also showed by the amount of people there; both times it was packed.
