Chardonnay Barrel-Aged Mama's Little Yellow Pils pours a hazy, golden color, thin white head topping the brew with a pretty good amount of lacing present throughout. Aromas of white grapes and traces of alcohol blend with the standard sweet maltiness and Saaz hop notes of Mama's. The chardonnay flavor comes through very well in this brew, the delicate flavors of Mama's leads to the wine flavors to shine, but not upstage the Pils. Well balanced and deliciously smooth, the brew was medium in body with an above average level of carbonation. Our second taste of a wine-barrel aged brew from Oskar Blues, and they have been top-notch, get this if you can!
