Notes:
The first big beer brewed in Oklahoma, DNR begins with central and western European malts that are skillfully blended with Noble hops from northern Germany. DNR provides flavor and aroma that is big in every way. Notes of dried fruit, cinnamon and vanilla make DNR a very complex experience to be enjoyed in moderation.

Hazy brownish orange in appearance, with a creamy tan head. Smells stronly of pungent Belgian yeast strains. Taste is a sharp blast of yeast up front, with a hint of grain and some vinegar in the middle. The finish is dry and alcoholic. Mouthfeel is thick, high carbonation. Drinkability is pretty good, the 10%abv gets heavy after awhile though.

Nice to try the first beer commercially brewed in Oklahoma. I hope someday the Sooners slack off their ridiculous beer laws.
Poured DNR into a tulip glass, and the brew produces a three finger thick khaki colored head, and the body is copper in color, with a hefty haze.
The aroma is fig, vanilla, cola, metallic, a little vegetable, and maybe a hint of sour cherry.
In the taste, a sour cherry flavor is immediately perceptible. There is some cola traits, fig, vanilla, and a cooked veggie flavor in the end.
Feels mildly carbonated, syrupy, full in body, and only slightly warm in the end.

Pour a hazy, dark orange-brown color, darker than other Belgian strong pale ales I've had. The head is cream-colored and about 4 fingers high. Both head retention and lacing are very good.
Aromas are made up of spicy hops, some citrus, and caramel malts that give it a sweet smell.
The taste is more dry than I expected based on the aromas. Very spicy and dry, with a moderate level of hop bitterness and a little tartness. The malts make for a nice balance. Other flavors are cinnamon and pepper.
Mouthfeel is very creamy and has a medium-to-high amount of carbonation. The aftertaste is fairly dry, coupled with spices and hops. I also get a bit of alcohol warming.
Overall a pretty interesting take on the style from the brewer. It tasted kind of like a barleywine with added spices.
Thanks to TheBishopco for this one!
