This is probably the best store in Joplin. Good atmosphere and great quality.
The service is good and friendly. They are glad to help and provide beer and wine sampling.
The selection is very good for the area. Hard to say how much they have but a few hundred is in the ballpark. Lots of craft beer and imports to choose from. You can build your own six pack with a reasonable selection. If it gets distributed in the area then Macadoodles probably has it.
The pricing is very reasonable.
Good store to go to and my favorite when I am in joplin. If you are in the area and want good beer then this is the place to go to.
Note: Was destroyed by a very powerful tornado in May of 2011 and was (Luckily) rebuilt promptly along with many other stores in the immediate area.

I went here when I was in Joplin, Missouri. The selection is awesome. They have a ton of beers we don't get on the west coast. I got about 7 beers from there. It was huge. Wine selection was better than at my work. I would love to go back there. The people there were nice too. They offered to help and they helped me look for a beer I was looking for but they were all out of it. Very nice store!!! Next time I am in Joplin I will definitely be back there but that will probably be a while lol. Glad I went lol

I love this store. Whenever I'm in Joplin I have to stop. The service is great and the selection of beer is overwhelming.
They add new beer all the time and really seem to cater to the craft beer enthusiast. The first time I entered this store it was almost overwhelming. They carry many different sample packs and allow you to mix a six pack out of a certain section. They carry many special brews like the smokestack series from Boulevard.
Not only do they have a ton of craft beer, but they have tastings. You can try out different things to see what you want and don't want.
All in all this is a great store for the beer enthusiast.

Macadoodles is easily accessible from I-44 off of Range Line Rd. & E. 17th St. (on the right) in Joplin, MO. From my understanding, this location has been open for about six months. From the outside, Macs looks like a hillbilly log cabin or trading post with wooden poles & wagon wheel benches with horseshoe cup holders (cool!). Upon entering, I was immediately greeted which makes one feel they've come to the right place to spend their money. The first thing I noticed is how organized the place is with beer, wines & spirits divided equally, as well as mixers, snacks & specialty foods. They even have a sample bar where people can try before they buy! The place is decently sized at 14,500 square feet, so there's plenty of room to stretch your legs while perusing the beer shelves. I'm not sure how many beers they had in stock, but I'd guesstimate there's easily 500+ which is the best you'll find in the immediate area. They carry micro staples such as Anderson Valley, Abita, Avery, Bear Republic, Bells, New Holland, Mendocino, New Belgium, Sierra Nevada, etc... along with local/regionals like Boulevard, Mueller, O'Fallon & Schlafly plus the import selection is pretty good with Belgium being especially well represented. There's a nice selection of singles (probably a 1/3 of a row), but be forewarned that MO law legally requires a person to buy/pick 6, as they cannot sell singles. The prices are actually very reasonable when compared to the Brown Derby locations which I found were as much as $1-3 bucks higher on sixers/bombers. All-in-all, I found Mac's to be a pleasant shopping experience and plan to make it a regular stop on my beer adventures. Recommended if you find yourself in the city or just passing through. As an added bonus for those just passing through, Mac's has a Phillips 66 self-service refueling plaza out front. So what's better than gas, snacks & road beers to go? Not much!

Edit 20 sep 09: They also have Founders & LaGunitas, & grand teton now
Was very happy to find this joint on my first shopping trip to Joplin, the closest city of any real size near us. My second trip has pretty much made it a given this is my must stop for beer runs of any size
Quality of the 12 or different beers I've tried are all good
Staff seem really helpful & up beat. A lot places around here couldn't spell customer service if you spotted them 10 letters..
Selection is good, you have 100ish different beers from which to build your own sixers. Brewries availible include Bells, Southern Tier, Arcadia, Goose Island (limited) Schaffly's, Boulevard, Left Hand, Anderson Valley, New Holland, Big Sky & more. Their import selection is nice as well. Good selection of bombers too. No super rare beers here, but a nice beer selection in area that loves its Macros
The high prices on Bells & Rogue raised the cost factor here, stay away from those & prices are more in line with what I expect for this neck of the woods. I predict these guys will be getting a sizeable chunk of my beer budget in the future!
