A: This is a nice, tastefully done, well-kept establishment, though if there's one complaint it's that there wasn't quite enough space dedicated to beer.
Q: There's a pretty high level of quality with the beers they have in stock here. Nothing particularly mainstream.
S: The service was very friendly and knowledgable, though I didn't have many questions.
S: A solid selection of beers: Founders, Ballast Point, Allagash, Smuttynose and some Belgians.
V: The prices are reasonable, given the quality of beer.
Overall, it was okay but my experience was slightly tarnished because I really wanted to eat there as well but they stop serving at 3 PM?? Missed it by 15 mins.

What a great place! We had a wedding to go to on Daniel Island and luckily found this gem. I had the rare ahi tuna blt and fried green tomatoes but the whole menu sounded good and for the not to picky eater I feel that anyone could find something they enjoyed.Very quick service and a very friendly staff made you feel glad to be there. Small but very well thought out craft beers on draft as well as beer to go. Also not to give away all the secrets but I have to say that they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I will will be coming here again on our next trip to Charleston.

We stopped in yesterday to pick up a growler of Cornado IPA but was pleasantly surprised to find out that they had just hosted a Holy City dinner the night prior. SO, my wife an I picked up a growler of CAT 4 IPA that we have been searching the low-country for since we moved out here. The staff was eager to help us out and provided samples of each of the six beers on tap. They had a moderate selection of really good beers in bottles as well including the Dogfish Head Pearl Jam Faithful that I have not seen for sale in months ( I bought that as well ). A hidden gem of a store that is inviting with a staff that is eager to please. Need I say more.

Stopped in for their Allagash beer dinner while vacationing at Kiawa Island. My girlfriend loves Allagash, so I was hoping this would be an awesome dinner. They did not disappoint. We sat next to the owner and her husband, who was very nice and welcoming. The food alone would have been awesome, but the beer pairings pushed it over the top. After the dinner, the owner took our picture and had us sign it to put on their beer wall. Before leaving I purchased a four pack of Backwoods Bastard to go. We both had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this place.

Visited this store once and was happily surprised by the selection and atmosphere. Found vintage bombers of Stone 12th Anniversary and Double Bastard, along with Sculpin! Nice little growler selection featuring locals like COAST and Westbrook. Good prices, friendly folks, and support for locals. Sounds good to me! Food looked good, but we were in a time crunch and couldn't stay. Location is a bit weird, and the dining clientele seemed to skew a bit old, so when when we (a couple of twenty-somethings, one with a gnarly long beard) showed up for beer we felt a bit awkward. Still, it's a cool place to visit, especially if something amazing is on draft!

My wife and I traveled to Charleston for our honeymoon and we made a point to visit many places for good food and beer, and this was one of the best. The food was tasty, well prepared and nicely presented. The tap and bottle selection was small but very well chosen, and I bought a few bottles that I will never find in CO and there is one left in my cellar. We talked to the owner for a while and she was knowledgeable and very nice, and gave us recommendations for other places to enjoy some of the nation's best seafood. If you are a lover of seafood or good beer (or both) visit this place if you get the chance, it will be worth your while!

My wife and I were vacationing at Seabrook and it was part of our vacation plan to check out Laura Alberts for their Wednesday dinner and happy hour. I was immediately impressed with the selection of bombers they had in their cooler. One of the bombers in particular, Ballast Point Sculpin; as I had been searching for this one. They had severals beers from North Coast on tap starting with Le Merle, Red Seal Ale, Brother Thelonious, and Old Rasputin. They also had a tap of Weyerbacher Insanity. They offered tastes of each. I settled on the Red Seal and my wife chose the Old Rasputin. As we went back to enjoy our beers on the back patio, I notice the wall of bombers for sale in the hallway. They have a great selection shelved by beer style.
The patio was very comfortable and our server was attentive and explained the prix fixe menu. They offer other menu selections that were reasonably priced, from salads, soups, appetizers, to entrees. We decided on an asparagus cheese dip and my wife had pecan crusted flounder over greens. I had the ahi tuna over a bok choy salad. All the food was expertly prepared and delicious. We were both really pleased with our choices. The only drawback was that I was charged for two cork fees when I ordered a Sculpin bomber. I don't know if this is customary or not; but I still feel it is excessive when ordering a bomber of beer vs a bottle of wine. They need to drop the cork fee for beer selections from the cooler.
After our great meal, we did some beer and wine shopping. I bought bombers of Sculpin, Lagunitas Wilco Tango Foxtrot, Saison du Buff, Hoppin' Frog Hop Dam, Southern Tier oak aged Unearthly, and a growler fill of Old Rasputin. Before I walked out; Laura explained that they had several Belgian beers on closeout. I purchased two 12oz bottles of Black Albert. I felt like I purchased some rare beers that I certainly cannot buy back home in Indiana.
The only negative thing is the cork fee on beer purchased from the cooler and I felt like I was overcharged for a bottle of Hop Dam; otherwise it was a great evening. I would definitely go there again when in Charleston. The food is excellent and the beer selection is very good. This is a must stop when traveling to the Daniels Island area.

Went here for dinner last night and man, was I impressed (PS dinner is served on Wednesday nights only). This just might be the best place for beer in Charleston and just screams quality from every inch of it.
While not incredibly large, the beer selection went from great to exceptional. I had the Bruery's Orchard White and Ballast Point's Sculpin IPA (Amazing by the way) along with samples of Avery's DUGANA and Southern Tier's Mokah.
Also, the food is superb and very well priced. I had sesame crusted seared Ahi tuna with a Bok Choy salad for $14. Not a single entree is over $15.
Plus they have growlers and bombers to take home! If you're in the area, I definitely recommend a visit.

We got into Charleston the day before brewvival and this was the first place I wanted to stop, as their oft updated site told me they had sexual chocolate. They most certainly did.
Walking in, one first notices a small, yet stellar selection of bottles and taps. Behind these are several dining rooms. We were seated by the polite staff at a nice roomy table by the front window. Very laid back atmosphere.
The quality is where this place shines, which is why I gave the selection a perfect score as well. This place focuses on quality over quantity across the board.
The service was great, we were immediately greeted by a server who actually seemed happy to be working. Promptly returning with our sexual chocolate deliciousness, properly pulled. The above and beyond was achieved when the manager (owner?) Came around offering complimentary sample of dogfish head red and white, oddly enough, one of the few dfh brews I haven't tried (quite good by the way.)
The tap selection was dominated by foothills (they had a release party two days prior.) The bottles ranged from Belgian to German to American specialty craft, with rarity a focus. You could not go wrong with any of the beers carried here. Did I mention the sexual chocolate?
Blackened ahi Blt on ciabatta bread...one of the best lunches I have had in quite some time. The fried green tomatoes and conch fritters were both the best I have had. They take thier food seriously, it shows.
Excellent experience from Laura Albert's, I'll be back as soon. As possible and I suggest that you do the same.

I've really enjoyed everything about this place with the exception of the hours. If the hours were different, I would be there on a much more frequent basis.
There are six taps that rotate frequently and the website does an excellent job updating what they have on tap. The other day I stopped in and had a Racer X and a Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti. Both were served properly and I thoroughly enjoyed them. No food on this trip, but the apps we had previously were very good.
The $5 off growlers and $3 pints at Wednesday happy hour is also really nice. One of my favorite spots in town.
