I did not expect much from this place when a cousin of mine who lives in downtown Charlotte wanted to come here one night. Upon entering, I immediately noticed a plethora of widescreen TV's, typical for this area, but quite a few tap handles as well. Imagine my surprise when the first one I laid eyes on was Stoudts Fat Dog stout! The beer list revealed quite a few other surprises such as Stone Arrogant Bastard and Ruination in 22oz bottles as well as offerings from Rogue, Sierra Nevada, Dogfish head, Duvel, Southampton and quite a few others. Sure they had macros, but they had plenty of tasty stuff too. You could do worse. The food was pretty good too, with a varied menu of sandwiches, appetizers, steaks and seafood. They also offer free Wi-Fi, which is a plus for me. I'm definitely coming back on my next visit to town.

Good selection of beers on tap. Nice crew of folks behind the bar. Food is alright for the money, standard menu of burgers and such. Good value for the neighborhood which can be pricey because it is downtown, especially cheap with daily specials. Atmosphere can get a bit loud with music blaring, but not too bad if you like that sort of thing. Stoolies is a great place to catch a game, lots of televisions around tuned to sports. outdoor seating in nice weather is good for watching the neighborhood on a summer afternoon.

Took the family to discovery place and jumped over here for a beer before imax! Very cool place, laid back for a sports bar with a killer selection of taps. Nearly everything local with some quality selections from dfh and founders. Quick attentive service and the pint was well served. Super convenient being twenty feet from the imax entrence and not crowded at all. I could see myself knocking back more then a few in here. Soo worth a visit.soo many cool places in charlotte and this was my first one of the day. I got like 17 on the agenda let's see how many I can knock off!

Let's see Tuesday night all drafts $2; that means I can have a Two-Hearted and then a 90 minute mug for $4. Oh shit they have Stone Ruination 22s. It might be a long night.

Atmosphere: laid back, lots of space for Uptown. Lots of TVs and a fantastic selection. Good enough for me

Quality: Lets see, Highland, Duck Rabbit, Stone, Rouge, Bell's, Starr Hill, Terrapin, Allagash, Southampton and more.

Service: Great! Fast, friendly, and engaging. Ate at the bar and the bartender did her best to remember yhatbi wanted a room temp glass

Selection: multiple choices from everybody listed above on draft and in bottles. I would almost bet they have the best selection Uptown

Food: Good. Had the Giant Chicken Pita and enjoyed it. Went back to elementary with the tater tots

Value: Seriously, $2 mugs of anything on draft on Tuesday? But that was balanced by the $11 22 of Ruination. But I know that is an expensive beer. all-in-all, a good value and a hidden gem I'm Uptown Charlotte
