On tap at the brewpub. Poured in to an Oktoberfest mug.

A - Hazy orange and golden with a good solid 1.5 finger off white head which lasts long leaving lacing behind slowly.

S - General citrus nose with some orange peel.

T - Sweet malts with hops showing they are present without over powering.

M - Very creamy. Full bodied with a dry finish.

O - Not a lot to write home about but the mouthfeel is oddly right on the mark.

Enjoyed at the brewery, reviewed from notes.

A: single finger head on a hazy equal parts amber and gold body. Nice lacing.

S: light with caramel malts, grapefruit citrus and light oak notes.

T: simple with mostly sweet caramel malts and hops providing light bitterness and citrus notes.

M: medium body and moderate carbonation.

Overall: nice everyday beer to enjoy. Flavorful but simple.

On draught at the pub on the nice deck, Rail Pale Ale is bronze with an eggshell head leaving scattered lace.

Smell is sweet malt, a little orange marmalade, wet herbal hops.

Taste is malty, herbal hops, a little dirty.

Mouthfeel is dry, a little thick.

Drinkability is average. Decent hops, but very herbal, and the malt taste dirty.

Picked up a growler from my first visit to the brewery on Friday night. Pours an orange rusty color with a cloudy body and almost no head at all after about ten seconds. Not even a cap. The nose is grainy and malty with a hint of caramel.

Crisp and flavorful, with surprising balance. In a twist from the usual, I get hops up front and more malt in the finish here. Pine is the strongest flavor and in some quarters, this could pass for an IPA. It's a little heavier in body than most from this style and not really an easy drinking summer porch pale ale but it's sure not bad, either. Not as good as their IPA or summer but this brewer shows promise.

very crisp and bubbly on the tongue. Not an IPA but close. Not too complex but completely drinkable. Darker color than I am used to and not much nose to it. I can't think of too much else to say that hasn't been said. At least the brewery had their own beer this day. I think they may have had them all and were pouring samplers this day. Cheers!

Served a nice crisp orange with a very thin head that diminishes to a ring and leaves slight spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is a bit of citrus hops and sweet malts. Taste is a nice subtle blend of citrus hops with a touch of pine and sweet malts, the beer leaves a nice bitter finish. The beer is very light, crisp and refreshing as you'd expect a Pale to be. This is a very respectable Pale, one I'd certainly have again.

A - Golden and crystal clear with very little head. Some lacing.

S - Some mild floral hops and toasted malt but not a lot.

T - A bit ordinary with some toasted malt, yeast and floral hops. Needs more flavor.

M - Good consistency and low carbonation.

D - Easy to drink but not all that interesting. This review was done the day after they opened. Maybe it'll get better as they gain experience.

a: pint glass, bright copper amber in color, moderate retention and light lacing

s: husky pale malt aromas, toast and caramelized sugars, moderately hopped with aromas of dried, earthy citrus peel, good start

m: medium carbonation and body

t: the husky grain from the nose carries over with flavors of toasted and pale malts, earthy hop flavors, dried citrus, and a moderate bitterness, on the drier side with everything in good balance

d: a simple, well rounded, and easily drinkable pale
