From the wood of Connecticut..or rather, barrels from Ransom in OR.

Cloudy dark brown pour, minimal head, a bit of lace.
Complicated aromas, indeed, pinot, pedio, caramel, whisky.
Flavor is intense with hop bitterness, followed by the pinot noir and oak barrel tannins with some chocolate. Booze evident and not really even attempting to hide out. Definitely a different balance found here. Wasn't too much a fan of the regular version on account of too much malt, but the barrel shows off and disputes the bill, bringing forth a lot of really amazing flavors.
Solid effort from B United, looking forward to more beers from this project.
