Poured from that cool sticke bottle.

Appearance- Pours a billowy white head with two minute retention. Color is a deep amber, reminds me of Christian Brothers brandy.

Smell- Roasted malts mixed with some maple syrup and a little smoke.

Taste- Didn't know what to expect from this brew being, since it is my first albier. The flavor starts out very roasted and grows to a bit more smoke and caramel in the center of the tongue.

Mouthfeel- A little sweet, but most of the palate was centered around the malt. This was a very nice beer all around.

I feel like this is a German beer lover's beer.

A nice chestnut color with lace on the side of the glass that's going nowhere.

The nose is sweet hazelnut up front and lingering leather.

As far as taste goes, its got a nice hop spike that isn't altogether indicative of other German darker brews I'm familiar with. Just the right amount of roasted malts commingle with earthy tobacco notes.

Delicious & worth the price tag.

Amber copper color. Poured four fingers of thick off-white head with long retention and leaving marks.
Nice aroma of piney and floral hops, slightly toasted malts and notes of cinnamon and caramel.
Very tasteful beer, mild toasted malt, spices and caramel. Delicious bitterness with grassy and earthy hops. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Light to medium body and low carbonation, 6% ABV is well hidden.
Great beer, I just found grace in Altbiers just after dinking the Uerige. Flavorful, hoppy with good drinkability.
