On tap @ Brewforia Beer Market, Meridian Idaho. Served in a pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy but still brilliant gold, with good carbonation and a striking white head with good lace.
S: On the nose it smells of big, sweet fruity notes. Its mostly citrus flavors, and mostly orange at that, with some grapefruit as well. There are some good floral notes, and just whiffs of sweet caramel malt. Smells refreshing and only moderately bitter but very hoppy.
T: Taste follows the nose, this thing literally tastes like orange juice; tons of orange, blood orange, passion fruit and pink grapefruit. The light grapefruit bitterness is nice amidst all the sweetness.
MF: Soft, medium feeling body with decent lasting bitterness.
O: A good, middle-of-the-country IPA with lots of soft orange sweetness and lower bitterness. Very refreshing, although I don't think I could drink a lot of this.

Brewed with hops from New Zealand, with passion fruit juice added. On draught at the Beer Stein, Down Under is dark gold with an off-white head leaving nice lace.
Smell is nice and hoppy, on the pine resin side, tropical fruit notes as well, more grapefruit then passion. Also, not overly 'juicy', I'd have guessed it was all hops if not told about the juice.
Taste is similar, a blast of dank hops, cracker notes from the malt, the passionfruit a bit more prominent but very well integrated with the hop flavors. Very much in my wheelhouse stylistically, big hop flavor, modest bitterness and malt.
Mouthfeel is oily, medium bodied. No syrup/juice feel too it, which is a good thing!
Drinkability is high, i really like this IPA, a great summer quaffer. The fruit really is subtle and adds a nice bit of complexity while blending with, if not accentuating the hop flavors.
