Pour is a cloudy gold with a nice sudsy white head on it. Little funk in the aroma, Belgian sugars and floral herbs. Taste is almost spot on for Orval, although Orval has a lot more body, and this is a bit lighter with a little more fruitiness; this brew is a bit thin there. Still a top notch brew; Orval silver, I'll call it, since it is by no means Lite.

Served in a tumbler.

My one-time distro rep convinced me to crack open a bottle of this to see how it was holding up. (And, yes, he already had done so himself and had made a judgment.) It pours a lightly hazy straw topped by two fingers of white froth. The nose comprises mild cobweb, earth, a spritz of lemon peel, black pepper, and general greenery. Everything's sorta/kinda faint, but at the same time fairly assertive. The taste certainly asserts itself, but mostly like an insufferable jackass at the bar: mounds of dirt, dusty cobwebs, waxy lemon rind, and a blast of past-its-prime Belgian yeast envelops my tongue, refusing to retreat no matter how vociferously I try to repel its advances. "Take a hint, dammit," I think, partially aloud, "I just wanna have a nice drink here and enjoy myself." Not gonna happen, apparently. This stuff blatantly hurts, but it seems oblivious to the fact. Poor guy. Someday he'll find out the hard way... The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fairly dry finish. Overall, my belief is that this stuff peaked a while ago and nobody bothered to say anything. This has got to be the worst experience I've yet had with a Lips of Faith offering.

What a find this one was! Bottled 6/25/09, almost 3 years after the release date... Thank you Telluride for keeping this brew around cellar temps.

Three-finger, white, fluffy, foamy, head. the head looks a lot like a nice pillow-y cloud. Brew stands a vibrant golden yellow color. Lacing is a bit sparse.

Very nice light Belgian flower aroma. Lots of dandelion, bittering hops, lemon, light banana, and coriander.

A bit on the rough end of the bitter spectrum, but it with held 3 years of sitting and waiting to be consumed. Lots of light lemon, chamomile, and coriander. Perfect light carbonation and very light mouthfeel; silky and thin. Drinks a lot like a saison.

Brew is VERY refreshing for a 100+ degree day. A great find in a great town! I would highly recommend this brew! Evrything combined in thie brew fits and works. I wish NB would still brew this like this!

I miss the old bottle caps...screw major marketing.

A- Crystal clear pale yellow body with a small white head. The head dissipated to a small foam covering.

A- Fruity notes. Smells a lot like a saison, lots of esters. A bit funky.

T- Not as funky up front, but that funk sits in the aftertaste(in a good way). Crisp and clean upfront. Some fruity tartness, lemon/grapefruit?

M- Light to medium light body. Moderately light carbonation.

D- This beer is wonderful. I wouldn't say it is incredibly interesting in any one direction, but all around it is an enjoyable wild beer.
