On tap at the Horny Toad in Carefree, Arizona.
Barely any head - what there is quickly dissipates. I know NB's style, and so I know this won't be a yeast-driven beer.
Smells like dark malt, a hint of roast and yeast.
Sweet overall with a little roast aftertaste from what tastes like black patent malt. It's good but not too flavorful. Slight dark fruit (raisin, plum), but, again, nothing too extreme.
Good mouthfeel to balance the taste, but, judging against the style, I'm not sure how to assess.
Very pleasant and well crafted. Certainly a drinkable beer - session is a good possibility!
Nothing extreme, but would make a great intro to darker beers. Glad to have tried it on tap!
