Frambozen.
Pours very dark brown with ruby hues. There is over an inch of fluffy tan head. Stringy lacing.
The nose has an abundance of raspberries which basically dominate the nose. Some sweet caramel malts are also noticed.
The taste is also raspberry forward with a nice mix of sweet, caramel malts. Not really balanced as the berries are so damn potent.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a low but suitable amount of carbonation.
Overall, I actually loved this brew. You get the raspberry goodness along with some brown ale characteristics. Pretty nicely integrated but would be better if the berry was toned down or the malts were amped up.

Ruby red; fairly see-through.
Nice white head which dissipates but doesn't disappear; strong lacing.
Lush raspberry nose; hints of malt below. Enticing.
Medium mouthfeel.
Lotsa raspberry in the taste; very subtle chocolate undertones on the back end.
I could perhaps use a bit more chocolate malt backbone, but this is a nice beer. Released in winter, I'd honestly prefer it in the hot months...

12 oz bottle, poured into a pint glass. Pours dark red with a nice foamy white head. Smell is big, dominated by raspberry and chocolate. Lots of fruity and malty aromas in there as well. Tase is littered with strong flavors, the fruit and chocolate come through strong, but not in an overly sweet annoying way. The chocolate starts the sip followed by the fruit and a nice chocolate aftertaste. This one has a medium body with a healthy dose of carbonation. Overall a great beer, and very surprisingly sessionable since the flavors are so strong. Definitely worth checking out.
