Has a lot of numbers on the lower left of label. 06OCT13 printed and I believe this means best before ocober 06 2013. Hmm wish it was more clear.

A - Pours out a clear light golden color with a one finger white head that dies down relatively fast. Alcohol legs and lacing clinging to the sides of the glass are left behind. Not many bubbles streaming up like I thought there should be for the style.

S - This beer smells really floral to me, breadiness, medicinal, alcohol, spices. Not sweet at all.

T - This one like the nose is floral, breadiness, spices, alcohol, bitterness, medicinal off putting aftertaste. Alcohol and the medicinal taste I get linger in the background to much for me. Not liking this at all.

M - Starts off sweet for a split second then the dryness comes in like champagne with an explosion of carbonation. Highly carbonated.

O - Not sure about this Trippel for some reason it comes off strong and pungent (in the wrong ways), and not really pleasant with a strong medicinal alcohol flavor that last throughout and lingers. This one rubs me the wrong way for some reason. Sorry NB. Better luck next time, Cheers!

Clear gold with one finger of white head leaves quickly but ring of white stays and produces good amount of lacings. Smell is pungent spiced apple.
Taste is puckering astringent plenty of malts. Can't detect the hops but there is a slight bitterness. Fruity and again maybe some spiced apple, banana, and cloves.
Mouthfeel was slick and well carbonated. It has a medium dry finish. Alcohol is clearly there but not a turn off. Overall a decent beer but I probably won't buy a six pack. This was included in a Folly 12 pack.

A - Medium gold, with very thin white head with little lacing. Clear on first pour but cloudy towards the end of the bottle.

S - yeast, booze, bready. Some fruit, vaguely reminiscent of wine, a little banana. Not getting coriander despite the promise it's in there.

T - Similar to the smell. Spices and yeast upfront, followed by a nice biting malt flavour with some banana. A dry aftertaste

M - Thin, light carbonation. Not very exciting

O - A quite pleasant beer, but not one I would rush to drink again. That said, this is the first I have had of this style, so I may revisit later

Poured from 22oz bomber into pint glass

A - clear straw/yellow in color. 2 inch head with decent retention and solid lacing down the sides

S - coriander and other spice heavy up front. slight maltiness but very florally dominated.

T - coriander, floral, good balance of malt and hops underneath but like the smell, very florally dominated.

M - medium bodied, good carb, a little stickiness

Overall - very pleasant to drink. possible room for improvement to allow hops or malts to come forward more. but all in all, a very good beer

New Belgium Trippel has a fairly thin (wide-brim glass), off-white head, and a fizzy, clear, yellow-golden appearance, with a bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is of musty grain and some sweetness. Taste is of coriander spice, sweet bread, water, sugar, and some mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and New Belgium Trippel finishes dry, easy going, and surprisingly refreshing. One just does not pick up a heavy alcohol presence with this beer, although it is there. Overall, this is one of their good ones (because, they do have some bad ones, in my opinion). For $2.99 a bottle, it’s a good value.
