Appearance: Arrives with a fudge brown color and a modest head; a few shards of lacing linger

Smell: Has the chocolate and black bread elements of the base porter but there is a lot more tartness in the aroma

Taste: Unlike the base porter, the chocolate flavor does not make an appearance; it is all about the black bread and tart cherry flavors, with a good sourness from the yeast strain that was used to sour the beer (not identified but I am guessing lactobacillus); lots of tartness in the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation

Overall: This is a two year old Liberty One that has been soured; reminds me of the New Glarus Old English Porter brewed a couple of years ago; I would sure like to see more brewers experiment with this style
