German Pilsener |  5.20% ABV

Availability: Year-round. bottle (69), on-tap (15)

Notes:
The kinetic beauty of spicy hops grabs you by the nose and lets you know: this is German-inspired beer. A mild, bready malt sweetness greets you at the lips, smoothing the crisp hop flavors. Flywheel is meant for bombastic celebrations of singing voices and clamoring mugs. But then, that first contented moment of happy hour is uniquely celebratory as well.

A reddit BIF extra, thanks stacecom

A clear straw colored beer, looks crisp. nice head, nice retention and lots of bubble lanes shotgunning up the glass. The aroma is crisp grassy hops, a tad of citrus. The taste is clean, crisp, some hop bitterness on the finish, some biscuit notes and. The mouthfeel is real nice, it's a malty lager with some syrupy goodness. Not syrupy in the extreme beer sense, syrupy and dense in the sense of the lager not being a marco-lager. The drink-ability is quite awesome, I could drink these all day during the summer

Appearance: Transparent golden straw with a half finger white head. Lots of lacings.

Aroma: Grassy with some floral notes. A touch of spicy hops. Some grains.

Taste: A little doughy in the beginning but a quick transition to hops. Grassy with some herbal and floral. Light spiciness and some citrus. Bits of grain. A real nice biscuity malts.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light with medium carbonation. Feels almost crisp. A pleasant clean mild, lightly spicy bitterness in the finish. Just a touch dry as well.

Overall: I think this is a fantastic lager. Not only refreshing, but it has incredible drinkability. A good lager from a local brewery.

look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4.25

Appearance: The clear golden liquid arrives at the bar with a reasonable head that leaves a bit of lacing behind

Smell: A hint of the biscuit and plenty of grain and grass

Taste: Biscuity malts lay down the backbone and the grassy hops add a nice bitter tone; very clean in the finish in a way that shows off the Noble hops well

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation; could be crisper

Overall: This is a very fine example of a US brewed pilsner; not often that I come across one that is this good

Appearance: Excellent white foam and superb lacing. Very bubbly. Murky golden, very unique for a pilsener. Top of the line look.

Smell: Mostly lemon with a hint of pine. Fairly subdued, but refreshing.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Excellent lemon crispness provides a good mouthfeel. Smooth finish. Flavors consist of a hint of lemon tartness initially and strong pine hops in the finish. The finish in particular sneaks up on you.

Overall Drinkabilty: A very pleasant surprise.
