When you live on the Eastern Shore, selections can certainly be limited. Thankfully, Hair O' The Dog has brought some craft beer to the area.

The store is very nice and open. All of the beer is in the back in coolers, except for a Dogfish Head display that has a great variety of DFH beers. The service is always great. The employees are great at asking if you need any help, without hounding you.

The selection is solid. For the Eastern Shore, it has to be one of the best. However, a short drive to Northern VA or PA will show you what you are missing. I have called about a couple of limited release beers that Hair O' The Dog could get, but the owner didn't want to purchase them due to how much they were, out of fear that he wouldn't be able to sell them. That kind of sucks for someone looking for limited releases, but I see the owner's point.

The prices are pretty consistently high, as well. I have never seen a bottle there and thought "Ohh, this is the cheapest I've seen this beer."

Stop by on Sunday some time between noon and 5 since they have beer on the tasting bar at the Marlboro Ave. location.

They have a great beer selection and a knowledgeable staff. If you're looking for a beer that is not in stock they will special order it for you as long as it is available at a local distributor.

Selection is heavily focused craft and import with a very small selection from Miller/Coors and AB/InBev. Easton, Maryland allows beer and wine sales in the grocery stores so Hair o' the Dog is a better place to find craft beers. Good selection of Dogfish Head since they are semi-local I can count on Hair o' the Dog having limited release bottles and other hard to find DFH rarities.
