TJs is TJs, if you have one you know what to expect. I'd never been in a TJs until the one opened here. A solid selection with some beers being: Deschutes, Stone, Dogfish Head, Ommegang and Unibroue. The prices are good, this is where to find the lowest price on Deschutes sixers in town, but all the beer is sold warm. TJs house beers are brewed by reputable breweries and are excellent values.
The service is very good, a TJ trademark, and the beer staff is diligent about rotating their stock. Being a grocery store, you'll be able to pick up most of the stuff you need for a picnic or cookout while your grabbing beer.
You can do much worse than using TJs as a quick beer stop if you don't have time to get to your favorite bottleshop.

Trader Joe's has an array of inexpensive six packs from certain breweries and some they use as their store brand. I have tried the majority of them and they are good, but nothing spectacular, like most of TJ brand items. They have a decent selection of better beers but they tend to be a little more expensive than in other markets.
The couple store clerks I've talked to seem to be enthusiastic about recommending at least some of the store brands.
The true beer joy of TJ's is in the fall when Unibroue puts out their TJ seasonal ale. At $5, well worth it.

In town to visit family for a few days, decided to stop in here to get a few things. First time in a Trader Joe's so I decided to check out the beer selection. They predominantly carry wine is what I gathered, but they did have a pretty respectable selection. Saw beers from Stone, Rogue, Deschutes, Ommegang, and others. They carried a few breweries I had never heard of. Decided to pick up some Deschutes as they are absent back home. Pretty cool little grocery here, that I would most likely frequent if I lived here. For a beer stop alone, I'd probably go elsewhere, but if you're already here, not a bad place to grab a sixer or two.
