I've been coming here for quite a while now, and decided to write a review. Maybe a little "chain like", but I find the food, service, and the beers to be solid. This is a find that I happened upon by accident. My wife dragged me to this bohemoth of a mall, and it just so happened we entered by way of Sears. This place is right outside Sears in the mall area. Hey, hon, you girls can shop til ya drop, I'm gonna check this place out. Been back several times. The beers are good, the food consistant, and the service great.

This place is located on the first floor of the King of Prussia mall next to Sears. It has the typical mall pub feel with lots of neon and goofy wall hangings. It has a nice dining section and a lengthy bar that wraps around the one side of the pub.
The quality was average. The beers were all plain and dull. They had many styles to choose from; even a cask conditioned ale. Unfortunately, they tasted like extract brews, which is a big problem with me.
The selection was there. They filled all the styles and even had some rotating styles. The sampler yeilded seven choices.
The service was great. I got the sampler for free, because I mentioned I've never been there before. The bartender was very nice and talked with me for some time about the beer. The service was definitely the highlight of this trip. I guess if your not a big beer geek, you might find this place fun when your tired of shopping.

Well I am here usually once a week for happy hour and I come back time after time because its a pretty enjoyable place to have a few beers and grab a bite to eat. There is usually some kinda special everyday like steak and ale night on Tuesday and $2.00 pint night on Thursday just to name a few,the food for the most part is pretty good except maybe for a few things (Iam not a huge fan of their steaks). For being such a big chain they do have a nice selection of different beers from an Oud Bruin to a light lager,at times though they dont seem to rotate their beers enough. The service at times has alot to be desired but if you get their when not overly busy you should be ok.I think this place gets a bad wrap by some but I think its a quality place.

Went to King of Prussia location when visiting a friend, had never heard of Rock Bottom before.
Atmosphere was pretty much average, very comfortable but not much to look at around the place. Had the beer sampler and wasn't thrilled with the regular beers, except for the Munich Gold. On the other hand, the 3 Brewmaster's Reseve beers where very good. I guess a chain has to make a few for the appeal of the masses. Service was outstanding. The waitress made some suggestions and was very attentive, especially for the place being busy. Food was also great with something for everyone on the menu, plus some dishes made with their beer. Would definitely go back if in the area.

Found out about this joint via Beer Advocate, so I thought I'd check it out. I must say the atmosphere was the only disapointment about this place. I guess I shouldn't have expected too much from a franchise, but I did kind of feel like I was drinking good beer at a Chili's/Friday's/Ruby Tuesday's/Applebees... uggh. Give me some dirt in my brew pub, please! The whole place was a bit sterile.
Apart from the hospital ward atmosphere, the beers met my expectations and the food was much better than I expected.

This location was one of the Brew Moon stores that Rock Bottom bought. In some ways I miss the "Moon", but I think R.B. is doing a better job overall. Although the decor is not as interesting, it's more comfortable with its more enclosed spaces, earth tone colors and raised booths. And I like the old photos taken from the Library of Congress (cowboy at bar, guy in tub drinking a bottle of pils, etc). The quality of the food is always there and the beers, for the most part, are good. I'm not real fond of their regulars, like the Lumpy Dog Light, although the North Star and Double Barrel IPA aren't bad. The seasonals, however, are much more interesting and I stop in to check them out whenever I get a chance. And since this location is really busy, they're always fresh and rotate quickly. The service for the most part is very good. The management team here is really alert and puts out a lot of effort. Everytime I've had a problem they've personally jumped in and fixed it! That, I appreciate; and I think it will help them to shed the "chain" image.
