Decent Hefe.. Cloves and a touch of bannana..(How the hell DO you spell that?!) come through mostly. Pretty refreshing, but couldn't drink alot of these do to the spiciness. At least it had some flavor, and it went sooo well with the burger and onion rings at the ABC in Camp Hill!! (Damn, I should do a review on the onion rings! They were off the hook good!) Anyway, I'd recommend the Hefe, and of course, especially in the summertime, when it's brewed and most refreshing. Oh, orange-ie color and typical Hefe cloudiness. I'm sorry that I don't mention all the other jazz about brews when I review, but really, it all comes down to TASTE, right friends? Sure, smell has a bit to do with it, but really...taste is numero uno in my book. Sorry I don't describe more though. I'll work on it. SAAALUTE and cheers my BA friends!

I had this beer at the Harrisburg brewpub poured into a 5oz tasting glass.
A: Hazy Golden Straw Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head Ring, Some Lacing
S: Banana, Wheat, Mild Clove
T: Banana, Mild Clove
M: Average Carbonation, Light to Medium Bodied, Semi Sweet, Semi Drying
Overall, undercarbonated but the taste was very bright and balanced.

Pours a hazy orange-ish to yellow color with an off white head. In the aroma, a hint of orange citrus and a cinnamon like spice. In the taste, orange citrus, big wheat notes and some dry clove. A small bite and lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a small dry orange citrus in the aftertaste. Quite pedestrian with the sweeter context of orange, good, but just over average.

Review from notes taken on 7/30/10.
Served in an oversized mug, this brew appears a cloudy light orangish yellow color, a bit darker than what I remember from previous years and other examples of the style. A thin white cap of foam receeds fairly quickly leaving some legs of lacing about the glass.
The aroma is a decent 50/50 split of cloves and banana. Nothing too overkill about it, it is enjoyable with some light fruity notes that are evident as well.
The taste of this hefeweizen includes light notes indicated by the aroma: banana and clove with a dry spiced taste that comes across a bit like nutmeg. A light grainy flavor is left inside the mouth that lingers.
The body of this brew is light with a low level of carbonation which is not typical for the style. It needs more carbonation for a better feel and increased drinkability.

Poured a hazy medium straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and good lacing.
The smell featured balmy clove and banana aromas.
The taste consisted of a chewy wheat malt, some wheat spice and a full array of yeast esters.
The mouthfeel was typical of the style.
Overall a full flavored and seemingly authentic hefe.

A - A bright, cloudy, golden orange body...small fluffy white head...decent lacing
S - Strong aromas of your typical banana, clove, and some yeast...a little on the sweet side
T - Again a little on the sweet side...but a solid taste...full banana flavor...the spices kick in and take away the sweetness...but in a good way...also picking up some wheat and yeast flavors
M - Medium bodied...refreshing and creamy
D - This is spot on for a hefe...but it's not the best hefe I've had...but with being from Harrisburg it's pretty tasty...a good beer for the hot and humid days

Pours a nice orange tinted straw color with some decent head and lacing. Very deep straw/wheat scent with a nice spicy nose. Excellent wheat malt flavor with fantastic banana flavors, with a nice slight, smooth noble hop finish to add just a bit of pepper to it. Goes down smooth, this was a great beer at their breakfast special.
