This beer appears to be brewed for a posh booze shop: La Cave Gourmande, in Gravelines on the French coast (very close to Dunkirk). The 33 cl bottle with a front label showing an aerial view of the area was given to me by Marcus: cheers Marcus.

Best before the end of Dec 2012: I poured it into an 'Augustijn' goblet at home on 8th Dec 2012.

Looked a very pale golden yellow with minute yeast/grist particles floating around and failing to settle. The thin wispy head of small white bubbles just sat there doing nothing: just like the yeast bits.

Yeasty nose: not strong but there was nothing else to mention apart from a grainy ester or two.

The taste was fine: crisp, tangy and hop bitter with a malty biscuit sweetness to balance the whole thing out. Well carbonated, held its zesty feel right to the end of the glass. No huge flavours to talk about but this was a fine brew and very easy on the palate.

Different and interesting: two of my favourite words when reviewing beers, I'll be visiting this shop when ever I get the chance: they don't sell cheap supermarket slabs and told Marcus this when he entered: snobby French I can do without, good French beer I need!
