Landed here before a long weekend of drinking. Seemed like it was in a weird distant place in the city, but then again I don't know SA like I know some cities. Interior seemed very fresh and virgin, not much on the walls besides the paint.
What is around is lots of support for Texas beer culture, which I much appreciated; Real Ale, Uncle Billy's, NXNW, Fredricksberg, etc signs and growlers hanging around. We sat at the bar looking over the tap selection and fermentation tanks. Awesome selection of beers, both brewpub and regional. They still had some Rahr Winter warmer running! wow. That stuff runs out quick in DFW, very surprised to see it still flowing months after the release. RA Devils Backbone and 2008 Sisyhpus, SS Imperial Stout, St A Summer, 512 Alt and Wit, Shiner Smokehaus. By far some of the best brews were really the ones they brewed up. I was a huge fan of the Torpor Porter, Interloper Stout, and the 3 Tail Belgian Strong. Highly recommend this place. Oh.. and the food. A small pizza served me for two days. Pizza carbonra was out of this world. My veggie friend even somehow was admiring the lovely bacon smells coming off it. ;)
Down fall for us was the service, we were two guys at the bar, begging for beer, water and food, and barely got it. It wasn't super busy (IMO) and there were three bartenders, with half the place full and half the bar full. When we grew to 4 people and moved to a table, service came to a halt. A total bummer for a place with such great brews, food, and support for the scene.

Stopped by for a couple beers during a trip to San Antonio. That night was a killer deal of half price pints.
Atmosphere is modern. Smallish bar along the back wall which is where I sat. plenty of tables for dinning, and an outdoor patio with additional tables. Pizza oven is visible in the back space. A giant projector screen above the bar indicates the current beer offerings.
They had about a dozen beers on tap, plus a few "guest beers" from other breweries. Beers were a mix of standards and some funky one-offs, like the Green Curry Wit beer I had. Beer was tasty. Food looked good but I didn't eat anything.
Definitely worth checking out.

This place was great! We really enjoyed the choice of beer and that you can taste test what you might be interested in before purchasing a large glass. The sour they have available is really good if you like sours; it has an interesting smoke flavor from the smoked barley it is brewed with, but I think my favorite was the Witicus light colored but still a little heavy with ingredients. The service at the bar great and can't wait to go back again

This place pumps out a variety of good beers. Check their website before you go because sometimes their selection leaves a bit to be desired, but when they have a saison or la muerta stout or one of their barrel aged selections, you should beat a path to their door. Tuesday nights are $2.50 pints. What a deal. Sunday has $10 growlers. Be patient. I went a few times and did not find a beer that I really liked that much, but later found several beers that range from good to exceptional (here's looking at you Verano Sin Fin saison).

Went down for Le Muerta day 2012 for a break from the cold. Wonderful release atmosphere, real relaxed fun event before hand. Even met the brewer as our host thought it was cool we came all that way to hang out. For as hectic as the release was the waitress handled herself well. Had nachos and several different pizzas and all were excellent.
Tap list was super and featured other Texas beers as well if I remember right. Very reasonable costs and may even go on the cheap side.
Would definitely go here again if I'm ever in San Antonio or Austin.
