First beer of Tejas 2012 beer, err, business trip, $5.50 for 12 oz. goblet, 6.6.12.
Nary any head, a thin ring around edge and a small island of small bubbles on top of yellowish gold very hazy body, no visible carbonation. Fruity nose, peach and peels no seeds, not overly sweet aromas, a bit of funk, light moist hay but not to a James Brown funk type level. Taste is a nice balance of tart and mild sourness balanced by sweetness of fruit, hops not very prominent, a bit of floralness. Mouthfeel medium, slight bit of stickiness though a rather dry finish interesting. The beer that changed my mind about Freetail, very intriguing, too bad I couldn't work my way through the Tower of Sours. Came back the next day and it was all gone, glad I was able to try this, The Usual Suspects would have enjoyed this.

On tap at the brewpub.
A: Pours a bright and gorgeous hazed golden/orange color. A two finger white head forms with good retention, and some patchy lace is left behind.
S: Fresh, fleshy peaches. A little tannin like with some fruit skins. Tart, acidic lemon. The acidity and amazing fruit aroma work perfectly together.
T: Follows the nose. Big fleshy, peach skin, tannin like flavors. The juicy peach is incredibly fresh and vibrant. Tart and acidic, with a bit of biscuity malt in the back. Amazing.
M/D: A medium body that is crisp and effervescent. A puckering, dry, tartness sucks in the checks and makes me want to keep coming back for more. Clean, crisp, and refreshing. So easy and enjoyable to drink. Everything works perfectly here.
One of the best I have had in Texas. Just an all around well done Wild Ale, and a wonderful experience.

Freetail Peche'cus
A- on tap. Bright hazy yellow with a creamy looking 1/2 finger white head. Really looks like a Lemon Meringue pie.
S- tart aromas, lemon, sour grape, some soft peach. A little bit of funk. Smells like Ananke. Awesome smelling wild ale.
T- this stuff is amazing. Sour peaches right off the bat, followed by that wild ale funk. Notes of lemon, sour green grape, straw, and champagne tartness.
M- nice medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation. Highly drinkable. I can drink this all day long.
O- this beer is truly excellent. Reminds me of Ananke with additions of sour peaches. This needs to be bottled. Very refreshing and looks beautiful vibrant and bright.

Barrel aged version of Witicus with wild yeast and peaches added.
Appearance: Pours a hazy whitish-yellow with a small lacing of head that fades to a thin ring around the center.
Aroma: The first smell made my mouth water, lacto sourness, green apples, citrus, a hint of peach, orange and a touch of oak.
Taste: Sour and tart up front with notes of sour apples and citrus with a slight oak/ kettle corn flavor on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with medium carbonation and a lingering sour finish with a touch of kettle corn.
Overall: Excellent beer and one of the best I've had from Freetail. I'll have to get back to try some more before it's all gone
