Billed as a “Double wit brewed with nopalitos, spices, agave nectar and a special yeast blend” (from the Freetail facebook page).

From my notes: Beer comes across as a wit brewed with lemon peel, coriander, salt and other spices? [At the time I had no idea what was in it!] Pours cloudy, yeasty, and a nice golden color. Full aroma—active, yeasty esters dominate. Definitely reminds me of a Belgian wit. Interesting aftertaste. Full mouthfeel, nice finish—the salt definitely comes through. Eminently drinkable for the season.

Poured into a tasting glass at RealTail II

Appearance: Cloudy golden-orange with a thin white head that fades into a ring around the side of the glass.

Aroma: Citrus and orange notes with some subtle spices probably a product of the yeast strain.

Taste: Earthy and yeasty, good, but lacking the complexity you would hope from their description.

Mouthfeel: Light body with medium carbonation, very easy to drink and refreshing.

Overall: I really couldn't pick out the contribution from the spices or the nopalitos. It basically seemed like a variation of their double wit.
