Gift from Dajtai007 - thanks Daniel!

Poured in a big wine glass at 50F.

Cloudy golden-orange, with a small, attractive white head that leaves some dollops of lace.

Big aroma, smells great - banana, with hints of coconut and peach, along with coriander, clove, and yeasty bread. Hints of earth and grass. Cohesive, and really good.

Cohesive fruity spicy flavor, like the aroma. Plenty of tropical fruit, mainly banana, with coriander, spicy clove, earth, explicit yeast, and a bit of grass. Mild acidity. Refreshing, and very tasty. Lingering coriander.

Nice texture: cushy, fine carbonation, with a bit of prickly acidity. Exceedingly refreshing and drinkable.

Great stuff!

Poured from the growler into a tasting snifter.

Appearance: Beer pours a clear very light golden color with a quarter finger of white head. The head fades to a ring around the pour.

Smell: Light malt and yeasty. The overall smell is very light.

Taste: Light malt with a ton of yeast. The overall flavor is bread like with the rye spice showing up in the finish. Very light overall.

Mouthfeel: The body is medium with fluffy carbonation and a finish that is a touch dry.

Overall: Good enough, but I thought it was a bit boring. Easy to drink.

The beer is light golden ad clear with a small white head. The aroma brings coriander, wheat, bread. Crackers and light spice. Light and refreshing. Easy to drink. Well balanced and flavorful. This would be a great hot weather beer. I would definitely have this again.

Slightly cloudy and yellow, head and lacing were pretty good.

Smell was spicy (coriander) and yeasty, plenty so at that. Also there were some citrus overtones.

Taste wise this was a darn fine witbier. There was a pretty pronounced spiciness and plenty of yeast flavors, along with a little floral overtone and a good grainy background from the rye. Very tasty stuff!

Feel wise it was typically witbier, light and smooth, quite easy to drink.

Overall this was a very fine beer that I would certainly recommend anybody tries who goes to this brewery.

Freetail Rye Wit pours a hazy yellow-orange with some frothy head.

smells strongly of tart apple and spices. bready, wheaty, and strong.
good mix of rye and wheat flavors. strong coriander and spiciness. the rye adds to this, rounding it out. slightly tart with what could be considered citrus peel. finishes slightly dry, easy drinking, and delicious. ends well, with lingering bready, yeasty, and coriander tastes.

a very exceptional Tejas wit

On-tap at the brewpub.

Pours an opaque lemon-yellow color with a one-finger white head. The head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving decent lacing.

Smells of bready wheat with good amounts of light citrus aromas. Also present are mild amounts of coriander.

Tastes good. Wheat flavors with a nice twang kick things off with mildly tart citrus flavors. Midway through the sip light amounts of bread enter into things along with a mild spiciness from the rye. The spiciness carries through to a crisp ending.

Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with solid carbonation.

Drinkability is very good. I had no problem finishing my glass and could easily have a few more.

Overall this was a nice take on a witbier, although I may be biased as rye is probably my favorite adjunct. Well worth a shot.
