Poured from the growler into a tasting snifter.

Appearance: Pours a murky dark brown color with a layer of off white head that fades to a ring around the glass.

Smell: Sweet with dark fruit and a slight tart note. There is a roasted malt component, but it's fairly mild.

Taste: Sweeter than I expected it to be. There are some strong fruity notes along with roasted malt and dark chocolate. The finish is bitter from the roast.

Mouthfeel: The body is medium with tingly carbonation and a dry finish.

Overall: The fruit notes were a bit weird but I still enjoyed it enough.

The beer is dark brown with a thin tan head. The aroma offers roast, chocolate, biscuits. English biscuity malt flavor with coffee like roast character. Thin bodied with fairly low carbonation. Roast and dark chocolate with molasses. Pretty good.
