Best beer selection in the area! This place recently expanded and is very well stocked and also organized very well by style. The large bottles are organized by brewer and there is a great selection of those too.

I picked up a corsendonk, stone mulberry pale, souther tier unearthly ipa, ommegang witte, souther tier pale, victory whirlwind, oskar blues impirial ipa and a bottle of duchesse de dourgogne.

Reasonable pricing and tastings every friday add to the apeal of this place. The owner is also very knowledgeable and passionate about, well, our passion, beer!

Q- The place is a nice store alot of room and alot of beer. And they do a beer tasting every Friday which is cool too.

S- Service is very helpful and friendly always helping me make good selection even though I know what I want.

S- They have a very large and broad selection. Stuff I can't find at other places. Which is a plus for this store in my book to find stuff.

V- Although having a broad and large selection does come at a price not to high from other beer places but alittle high on some of there selection that you can find $2 to $3 cheaper.

Krugel's has easily become one of the top two or three bottle shops in NEPA. I'd say the selection is as Sabatini's, if not better, and it's definitely better than both Jessup Beverage and Purv's. They seem to routinely score new releases before anyone else around, and they also occasionally have local stuff from Breaker Brewing and Bethlehem BrewWorks when it makes it into bottles. They have an excellent selection of 6 and 4 packs as well as bombers and 750mls. Solid import selection, very good craft selection - pretty much anything that gets distributed in NEPA has a good chance of showing up here. They also have a mixed 6 pack for $10.99 and a decent selection of singles to choose from to fill it. That's always a nice option.

Someone typically approaches me to see if I need any help when I visit, which is a good thing because probably the only real problem I have with this place is that it's poorly organized. There's no logical organization beyond bombers/750s going together and 6 packs arranged in a sort of pyramid on the floor; some stuff is buried in cases where you can't see it, so if you don't ask you won't find it. That's a bit of a pain in the butt, but oh well. Prices aren't bad but they're maybe just a touch on the high sidle - I'd say a lot of 6 packs are about $1 more than you'll pay at Wegmans, and similarly with bombers/750s, but that's more than made up for by the selection. Prices are also clearly marked on packages and bottles which is definitely a plus.

All in all this place is absolutely worth a stop; for me it's quite a bit out of the way, but I make sure to swing by when I'm in the area. You should too.

I've been buying beer from this place for a little while now, and it's great to see how much they've grown with their beer selection. Walking in there now, it's amazing they can pack that much good beer in such a small place.

On my most recent visit with my girlfriend, I was looking to pair a beer with our dinner that night. After the girl behind the register asked if we needed any help, and us telling her our situation, she called to the owner in the back and he came out front to help pick something that would go well. We ended up taking him up on one of his suggestions of the Harpoon Helles Blond Bock, and it went great with our steak that night.

Pretty hard to beat with the good selection, and the willingness of the staff to help out. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

After visiting many non-distributors of beer in PA over the past couple days, we found Georgetown Deli & Beer through BeerAdvocate. What an accurate set of reviews so far for this place.

Shortly after walking in, the staff was greeting us and ready to assist.

We were more looking to mull things over, but soon began picking out beer in the "Mix a Six" format.

When we thought we weren't going to be able to get 2 bottles of a particular kind, the owner broke up a shelf six pack for us to get our bottles.

For all the travelling Yuengling fans, this is one of the very few places that had all of the 7 varieties in six pack format.

Our thanks to the owner and staff!

Krugel's Georgetown Deli cannot be missed as it is located next to the "Big Cow" on route 309 in Wilkes-Barre Township. The beer selection is excellent and always improving with new additions. It is one of the few places in the area that carries Founder's products to go. On my most recent visit, I left with two bottles of Founder's Kentucky Breakfast Stout. In addition to Founder's, Krugel's carries many other micros including DFH, Weyerbacher, Bear Republic, Middle Ages, Pretty Things, and Duck Rabbit among many others and several imports. Some of their products could be a bit pricey compared to other establishments. The staff however is excellent, always eager to show you the new products and retrieve cold beer from the cooler. Definately worth checking out.

Georgetown Deli is a nice little beer gem my friend recently told me about. Its located right behind Three O' Nina (the gigantic cow)
Upon entering I was surprised with their great selection of food, but more importantly their giant inventory of beer. They have tons of 4 and 6 packs, a bunch of mix and match singles, and a few 750mls. I left with a 4 pack of Founders breakfast stout.

Overall it's a great place. The ladies there were more than hapy to help me out with any questions I had. And I will surely return there soon.
