This establishment is very average for the area, but is convenient. They have a large selection and stock of the major brands. I would like to see them expand their craft brew section as it is very small compared to others in the area. The staff is very pleasant and eager to assist.
Although this is a college town, it is pleasing to find that they carry a large assortment of keg beers other than the typical light beers.
Overall I would rate that this is a great place to grab a quick case of beer, but I wouldn't get your hopes up on finding that rare case of micro or craft beer.

My first experience with Goshen Beverage came when I posted an ISO for a case of Yards Thomas Jefferson Tavern Ale. This was when they were in the middle of their move from Kensington to their current location on Delaware Ave., so some of their less standard fare was difficult to come by. I received a message from Jim, the owner of this store, indicating he had a case for me, so I drove out Rt. 3 to pick it up.
What I found was an excellent craft beer selection, spacious layout, phenomenal prices, and equally phenomenal customer service as evidenced by Jim and his staff. While they don't have quite the variety of say, The Beer Yard, they offer more than enough to satisfy even the more discerning among we BAs. Local, domestic and imported brews are stacked by region, with the seasonals closest to the door. Their prices are much more competitive than distributors on the Main Line as well, though some of the savings are likely offset by those among us who have to drive 20+ minutes to get there. Regardless, I make at least one trip out at the beginning of every season to "stock up" on the essentials I need for each season. I highly suggest doing the same if you're within driving distance!

Cool, I get to write the first review on BA for Goshen Beverage. I moved to West Chester about a month ago..driven by here plenty of times, but never stopped here [I assumed they mostly sold BMC]. I'm glad I did.
As you walk in..the register is to your right..some cases of beer to my left..I spot Dogfish Head, Troegs, and Victory right away..then the aisle turns sharply to the right...Nice, all the crafts are up front. I spot the California goodies I'm after right away! Stone, Ballast Point, Green Flash, etc.
The first time I went in, there were a few young kids working that were very helpful and polite [I asked how much a few cases were]. This guy carried the case for me and announced to the 2nd guy at the register the brewery and beer name of my case..and continued to carry it to my car for me, simply volunteering this service..thanks, I appreciated it.
To be honest, I haven't progressed past this point in the store to consider the rest of it for the review...but this is beer advocate, who cares?
