Appearance: Hazy peach color with spritzy effervescence and a thin ring of foam.
Aroma: Intense aroma of peach, funk, some leather and tropical fruit. Very sophisticated.
Taste: So intense! The peach taste overwhelms everything else. Back notes of banana and some tropical fruit.
Palate: Spritzy, medium bodied, medium-high sweetness, medium-low carbonation. Finishes sweet leaving a lingering marmalade taste.
Overall: I'm afraid I'm in disagreement with my fellow beergeeks. I think this beer is a great example of craftmanship and has it's own place in the Lambic Ladder, in my opinion.

Pours a clear, gold color. 1/5 inch head of a white color. Decent retention and slight lacing. Smells of slight peach, sweet malt, slight pale malt, sugar, and slight tart notes. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of peach, sugar, sweet malt, slight pale malt, and slight tartness. Overall, decent appearance, feel, and body.

A: Beautiful rich golden body, slightly on the orange side. Champagne-like layer of fizzy white bubbles. Bubbly and lively. Best appreciated from a champagne flute.
S: Peaches, peaches and peaches.
T: YUCK! Like peach perfume. Unnatural tasting. Very sweet. Poured it away after a few swigs.
O: One for the ladies.

A 375ml green bottle (half-champagne) with a BB of July 2012. I've been sitting on this for a while; picked up from a supermarket on a trip to Belgium in October 2010. Love the art nouveau decoration on the label. Hope it's still OK....
Poured into a straight pint glass (I don't have a flute). A clear orange-amber colour with medium carbonation and a hint of floating sediment. Forms a decent head of white foam that hangs around for a few minutes before dissipating. Aroma of dry peach with a distinctive mustiness and a sour twang. Slightly sweet, with hints of vinegar, brie and a fruity tartness.
Tastes of sweet peaches with a dry, musty finish. Notes of sugar, tart fruit, faint green apples and a hint of tangy vinegar. Quite dry upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is light and sharp, though a bit thin. Lightly astringent. Aftertaste of sweet & sour peach.
Lindemans is known for making very sweet commercial lambic (ie. not the good stuff). This isn't actually as sweet as some others that I've tried, but I'm not sure if that's simply due to age. It has a mildly oxidised mustiness that suggests it's been left a bit too long - but as it's a lambic it's hard to tell to what extent this may be the case. At any rate, it's OK but no masterpiece. Too sweet and one-dimensional; oude lambics blow this out of the water. Drinkable if taken on it's own terms. Try it once.

Pours amber with a small fading head.
Nose shows peach and confectionery with faint funky notes underneath.
Peach dominates as a flavour as well, with lots of sweetness almost hiding a faint acidity and horse blanket character. A little cloying.
Could use a fair bit more carbonation.

A- Crystal clear golden color with a big fluffy whit head. The head offered weak retention and moderate lacing. Weak retention = bad. Lacing = good.
S- Mostly sour apples (I think the peach combined with the sourness of the lambi makes it seem like sour apples . . . ). Definitely some peach notes as well. Maybe a little pear in there too. Basically, think white, crunch fruit with sourness on top of it.
T- Again, fruit is the dominant flavor here. I get more apple than peach again. Call me crazy, but the taste reminds me of bitting into an apple. There is also a little pear and plenty of peach along with it. There is a sour element to the entire taste, but it is balanced out well by the intense sweetness of the fruit flavors. I think the yeast did some really cool stuff here. The aftertaste is of fresh green apples and peach juice.
M- Light bodied, but a little syrupy at the same time. Strange combination.
O- Very interesting taste. The aroma and mouthfeel are a bit less than perfect, but the taste is really interesting.

Pours a lightly hazy pale yellow with a small white head. In the aroma, sugary, tart peach skin. In the taste, quite sugary and small tartness of peach skin. A small tart bite, but mainly smooth and medium to lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a small dry tart peach skin in the aftertaste. Kind of like a gummy peach ring, and it is line smell, taste, and aftertaste all the way through.

Hazy, apricot color, had to work to get the head: white, creamy, not long lasting.
Smell: peach overwhelmed; slight sour.
Taste: Peach with so much sweetness that it has almost a soda-pop taste, redeemed by the slight sourness of the lambic kicking in at the middle. Apricot nectar notes, slight malt, lambic sourness.
Mouthfeel: creamy, effervescent, pleasant.
Overall: We split on this: husband says pleasant, wife says too sweet. Husband says: great refreshing beer after mowing the lawn, not much alcohol so easy going down. Wife says: have it for dessert with your cheese and fruit.

Bottle to Lindemans Framboise 25cl flute
Best by: 02-09-2013
Enjoyed at Palais des Bières while visiting Geneva, Switzerland.
A: Clear golden hue. Single (pure white with a few bubbles) fingernail head on gentle pour.
S: Peach fuzz and peach schnapps. Hint of tangerine. More fresh, ripe peaches.
T: Mild peach flavor start to finish with a hint of citrus coming thru towards mid-palate. Not too sweet, but just right.
M: Light body with medium carbonation.
O: Peach purée and that's about it. Almost boring, but I think it might have something to do with the fact this beer is only 2.50% ABV - this is almost a NA beer in my mind. Also, there is no sourness; however, I love peaches so this is the only saving grace here.

25cl bottle served into a Lindeman's glass in a cafe in France. Cost was 4.60 euro.
A: Pours a three finger head of slight cream, decent thickness, and good retention. Colour is a clear cloudy yellow.
Sm: Peach and barley. Moderate in strength.
T: Peach, souring hops curtailing the finish, and full pleasant barley. Very crisp and pleasant. The peach is wonderful. Complex, well built, and nicely balanced.
Mf: Smooth, wet, and creamy on the open. Complements the flavour of the body well.
Dr: Very drinkable, low ABV, and full of flavour. The price was rather high in France, but I'd certainly have it again at Belgian prices.

A - A clear pale shade of apricot under a quick wispy finger of head.
S - Musty leather, peaches.
T - Sweet caramelised peaches. No trace of the 2.5% alcohol. Not much sourness. Refreshing.
M - Thin, yet has a syrupy quality. High carbonation.
O - The lack of sourness is probably not a good thing for a lambic, but the sweet peach flavour is agreeable. Nice, summery thirst quencher.

Poured from a 375ml bottle into a wine glass.
Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden apricot color with a large, quickly dissipating white head that leaves only a few tiny spots of lace.
Smell: Apricot and apple backed up by slight funk and earthiness. A mild hint of peach and some mild tart citric smells.
Taste: Begins with sweet peach and a hint of granny smith apple, finishing with a more powerful peachy sweetness with a mild mustiness at the very end.
Mouthfeel: Lighter in body with almost no carbonation and a refreshing finish.
Overall: An interesting beer loaded with fruit flavors. I did, however, dock a few points just because the fruit overpowers almost all traces of the lambic. A good brew, though, and one I would drink again.
