A pretty solid place to go in Springfield aside from Patton Alley Pub. Most of the seating will either be at the bar or on a couch. If you like Belgian beer and don't mind the bottle they have about as good of a selection that you'll find in this area. They recently extended their tap selection and now have 8-10 taps. Lagunitas, Big Sky, Delirium, Old Style, and Hobgoblin are a few. Not sure about the food, I think they have a really good fondue platter and good sandwiches. If you don't want a smokey atmosphere, and a great beer, this is the place.

I've always liked the MudLounge quite a bit. They always have a pretty good selection of imports that are bottled, and the coffee-themed mixed drinks are pretty good too if you're not feeling like a brew. The atmosphere is quiet, which is what I like in a bar personally. Service is always great, I've never had a bad experience that I remember. Food's ok, but that's not what you go there for. A bit pricey, some of the less common imports can get a bit expensive. Delerium anybody? Go on Wed night, it's cheap beer night.

The mudlounge is one of a handful of places in Springfield to get a quality brew. They tend to have more imports than crafts I think. They have several Fullers taps and a good selection from Belgium. Also its one of the only places in town that serves each beer in its own glass (ie. Delerium in a pink elephant glass). The food is mostly fancy shmancy stuff like fondu and pretzels and stuff. The atmosphere is sort of coffee house meets night lounge. A one of a kind in Springfield and a top 3 spot downtown (Mudlounge, Brew Co, Patton Alley)
