This place was a pleasant surprise, just a few blocks from my hotel, so I stopped to grab a few beers for the weekend.
Atmosphere is nothing special, this is a glorified grocery store, think Whole Foods.
Quality was good, they certainly feature craft beers, the macros had a very small portion of the cooler.
Service was good. Was checked out quickly by a nice checker that made some nice comments about my beer choices.
Selection was very good. They had an impressive amount of northwest micros, I saw Laurelwood, Alameda, Pelican, Terminal Gravity, Pike, etc... oh, and of course Caldera. There was also a nice mix of Belgian, Danish, and German beers too, the other nice thing was the fact that almost all of the beers were chilled.
Prices were very fair.
All in all, a great place to get beer in Southern Oregon.

I was in Ashland for a week, and hit every store I could find looking for interesting beers from Oregon and the west coast. This place definitely had the best selection out of the beer stores I visited in Ashland (here, Ashland Food Co-op, Stop & Shop).
The store is a decently nice grocery store. Almost all of the beer is in a cooler along the far left wall, with a few stacks of cases and 6-packs not in the coolers. Good selection of bombers, not quite as much variety of 6-packs.
Definite focus is on beers from Oregon and northern California, but there's plenty of stuff from other states and a decent import selection. Found some things from the Oregon breweries that are harder to find down here: Hair of the Dog and Pelican, for example. And I found a few gems (like a 2007 Pelican Stormwatcher's Winterfest). But as another reviewer mentioned, that makes me think turnover is low, so I'd pass on undated bottles of things that don't age well.
Interesting thing: they overlap a lot in the breweries they carry with other places in town (Ashland Food Co-op, for example), but they often have different beers from those same breweries. For example, Market of Choice had Russian River Supplication and Redemption, while Ashland Food Co-op had Damnation.
Prices are good - not rock-bottom, but pretty good.

This was my first stop in Oregon, I was excited to see what new beers and breweries I'd be able to pick up while on vacation.
It was a nice Whole Foods type of grocery store, the beer was all situated off to one side and all of it was in coolers. The selection was pretty impressive, a number of Oregon only breweries as well as some more national beers that we in CA don't get, like Southern Tier. They had a few limited releases that had dissapeared from other stores' shelves long ago, which leads me to believe that there isn't too much turnover, so I might be weary of old undated IPA's.
This was a nice first stop in OR and the beers found here were enough to keep me happy, at least until I got to Portland.
