A- copper/ slight amberish color. not transparent at all. had the slightest amount of head going but the brew alone looked good enough. what head i did have was white.
S- citrusy hops with some sweet caramel malt.
T- had a nice bitterness to it. pretty much citrusy hops with some caramel malt. pretty simple but good.
M- solid medium bodied. good carbonation.
Drinkability- wish i got a growler or had more but i was with the misses for the art fair.
Overall- i heard some bad stuff about this place but i had to check it out for myself. for being a total hophead their ipa i had was pretty good. also tried a sample of their hopicidal maniac (a special ipa) and to be honest it was weak. it had no malt backbone and the hops were weaker than their basic ipa. tasted like light hop water.

Drank as part of a sampler...This pours a copper color, with a light tan head. The aroma and taste are ok, light malt, just light in general. There is almost a total lack of hops, this is not an ipa or a pale but a decently drinkable beer.
I'd try this just for the heck of it, but nothing special.

This was a half-decent brew, but it wasn't an IPA. It poured a nice coppery-brown without any head and slightly oily. The smell was slightly fruity but I didn't get any hops really at all. The taste was pretty good--a good malt/hop combo with a well-flavored finish. No crushing bitterness or anything like that. It had a solid medium body and was a very drinkable beer. Overall I wouldn't at all consider this an IPA because it didn't have enough distinct hop character, but it was still an enjoyable ale.

On tap at Blue Tractor, Ann Arbor, MI on 11/28/08. Served in a half pint glass.
A - Clear honey-kissed golden/amber body with just a tinge of haze, very minimal carbonation and one-finger creamy, off-white lead that gave way to some very attractive lacing.
S - Some citrusy and grassy hops with a touch of caramel malt and honey sweetness. There's also a bit of diacetyl, giving the aroma a buttery character, unfortunately.
T - Grassy and citrus hops up front with some mild caramel malt in the back. Pretty assertive hop bite in the finish. The buttery character also emerges in the flavor, unfortunately.
M - Light to medium bodied with a somewhat oily texture and moderate carbonation. Mouthfeel is a little thin and watery overall. Bitterness hangs out on the palate for a while. Finish is pretty crisp, dry and more akin to a pils or pale ale rather than an IPA.
D - Pretty decent IPA if it were not for the diacetyl, which detracted from my enjoyment of this IPA. Otherwise, not too bad.
