Picked up a sixer from Zipps Liquors to split with friends. Poured into a wine glass, it was dark brown with a tall tan head. This was sort of a classic craft version of the American brown. It was big, thick and full of chocolate and toast flavor. Nothing really jumps out or defines the beers, it's just a big smooth blend of cocoa and barley. It makes a fine dessert beer, but not something I'd have more than a couple bottles of. It's on par with Lift Bridge's pale ale and a totally respectable brew.

Overall, clear brown color. 1/4 inch head of an off-tan color. Great retention and slight lacing. Smells of sweet malt, caramel malt, hint of nut, pale malt, hint of wheat, and a hint of hop. Fits the style of an American Brown Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, caramel malt, hint of nut, hint of dark citrus, pale malt, hint of wheat, and a hint of hop. Overall, good appearance, decent aroma, good feel and blend.

I poured this into a clear teardrop beer glass. It pours a dark brown with a 2 finger head. It's on the heavy side for a brown ale, but I love it! Great beer!

very drinkable brown ale. Nice flavor and aroma. Just the right amount of caramel and nutty taste without it being too over powering for a brown ale. nice after taste. good beer!
