Have been searching for a place to buy some unfamiliar brews while here in Bradenton and heard of this place. Cannot say enough about it, excellent selection, excellent prices. Very nice owner, who was very knowledgeable. Also, was impressed by the prices, very fair given the quality, and happened to have some excellent specials. After seeing the same handful of brews at all the other liquor stores, it was nice to find this place. What it lacks in looks (trust me, it looks like a garage or warehouse) it makes up for in quality, quantity, and price.

I have been going to this store since it opened about a year ago. First off, let me say that this was by far the best beer store in town, when it opened. Since then, everything has gone down hill. It seems as if he doesn't restock his shelves. He picks a few beers to re-order, but lets the rest just disappear. The Belgian selection is, and continues to be top-notch. Probably the best Belgian selection in the state. This guy is European, though. It Probably is his favorite genre of beer. On the other hand, the rest of the domestic craft selection has steadily vanished from the shelves. Really disappointing to me, because it is on my way home from work. He recently went full liquor, and i'm sure that will take the shelf space of all the beer that hasn't been restocked.
Service is good when the owner is there. His wife on the other hand, knows nothing about beer and is completely unhelpful. The owner claims he will order anything you ask for, but i haven't tested him yet.
Prices are a bit above the average for the Bradenton-Sarasota area, but i was willing to pay for the convenience.
I choose to go to total wine every other week, because they have a much better domestic craft selection. However, if you love Belgians, you should definitely try Beer Monster.

Well this place is ever changing, so you never know what your going to see here.
The Store: First time I came in here I was in Belgium Heaven. Now that American Crafts are popping up more & more frequently, my attention is focused on craft beer and it looks like so is Monster Beer. They said they are dropping a lot of their Belgium line-up, and are carrying Liquor.
Selection: So present day they NOW have coolers with loads of Craft Beers, sort of weird selection sometimes (i.e. 3 flavors of Piraat? I like Piraat but to have 3 dif ones and not have Koning hoeven or triple Carmeleta). Lots of Craft Brands represented, Bells, Avery, Boulder. Real mixed bag of Scottish, English, and other country brands. If you want to try something you never heard of, this might be your place.
Prices: Hit or Miss, you need to know your prices coming here, I bought a box(5) of Petrus for $25 and it was worth every cent. They have select Belgium 750's 2 for $10 wow. Hopslam 6pak $18.99 :( and Unibroue 4pk $8.99 :)

Ok, so I just found out about this place a few days ago, so I thought I would stop in for a look. when you first walk in it looks like a half empty warehouse, infact, it is a half empty warehouse! Nothing on the right hand side of the store, I mean nothing. There was probably atleast 1500 sq. ft. of unused space. Anyway, on to the beer. They had som nice selections like Bell's and Clipper city, but some of the main staples were missing. No Stone, No Smuttynose, No Jolly Pumpkin, and no Great Divide. Had a pretty good selection of Belgians and Germans, but the American style was not well represented. The service was non existant, I asked the woman behind the counter if they carried Jolly Pumpkin, and she looked at me with a blank look on her face. As for the price, a 6 pk of HopSlam was going for 17.99. I can get it for 15.99 down the road at Norman's. All in all, not impressed. I will only return if I am in the area, and really hard up for a beer. Skal.

I don't usually review any more but thought I'd put in a few for this barren part of BeerFly Florida. Visited here on a recent trip after reading the other review touting its selection. Agreed, the selection is the best in the area (Belgians, crafts, and other Euro offerings are aplenty), but I might advise against shopping here for other reasons. The place looks like a half-and-half liquor store and Salvation Army used furniture operation. Literally half the store is covered in old furniture for sale. After taking a look at the time on my phone, the owner came over and barked that I was not allowed to take pictures or to copy down his prices. I replied that I wasn't and he proceeded to follow me around the store for the next ten minutes. Then he followed me on the security camera. Despite the selection, I decided to head to the nearby Whole Foods in Sarasota where while the selection isn't as good, the prices are much better ($1-3 cheaper per bottle) and the folks had the good graces to follow me on camera behind closed doors.
