A nice German style wheat beer. It goes with any food or alone and is very smooth and has a bit of citrus that lets it cut through the dry mouth and quenches the taste buds. It is good in the spring or summer since it is light and not as carbonated as other wheats. A great refreshing wheat.

It pours into the glass a copper color that is slightly cloudy. The head is foamy and white that disappears quickly and leaves little behind. The aroma is of some fruit (apples) spice, large bananas and hints of malt and hops. The taste is nice and flavorful for this style. Sweet and fruity with hints of the hops (slight bitter) and spices. But the main player is bananas. Like I said a good beer, refreshing. Can eat almost anything while drinking this, it will not interfere with the flavors.

A cloudy ruddy orange body rests beneath a frothy bright white head that holds well but eventually drops to a thin creamy surface covering. The body is medium (@ 3 Plato/1.012sg) with a very fine and lightly effervescent carbonation that leaves it quite creamy in the mouth. The nose offers bold aromas of apple, extremely ripe banana, and mildly spicy clove. These carry over into a rich flavor that also includes some light phenolics: a mild touch of vanilla, a gentle smokiness, and some minimal acetone. The bitterness is appropriately low, allowing the phenolics and the sweetness of the malt to act as the centerpoint, and yet it finishes short with just a thin lingering sweetness and very mild clove note. An exceptionally well done beer for the person who prefers a richly estery and phenolic weisse. Not to be missed.
