On cask at the Farmhouse in Emmaus PA. Appeared a hazy yellow with a short, thin head. I always love a good keller beer and this is possibly the best. The beer has a rich mix of spicy, dry hops and earthy yeast character. On top of that there's a mild wild character that tastes like it's straight from a funky Fantome bottle. The flavor is rich enough that you could sip it all night long, but light enough that you could make a great session of it. I need to go drink more of this.

Poured from tap into a Sly Fox Bockfest mug at the 2011 Goat Races.
A: A hazy murky straw yellow color with a one finger crisp white head. Not much glass lacing.
S: Grassy hops, grains, bready malt, some honey sweetness and some lemon zest and citrus notes.
T: Nice grassy hops come first and really stand out. They get complimented right away with grain and straw flavors mixed with the lemon zest. The finish turns bitter with the sweetness standing tall. Nice clean crisp finish that is not overly bitter. This is a softer more balanced version of the Pikeland and a very good one at that!
M: Crisp, clean, hoppy, some bitterness and of course no alcohol.
O: Another great pils variety from Sly Fox, like I expected anything less. As I said, softer and more subtle than the Pikeland, but still outstanding.
I found myself going back for more of the Keller at the Goat Races. Of all the great German style beers they had on tap (including the Maibock) this one was my favorite. A fantastic beer!

On tap at Sly Fox Phoenixville on 10/26/08.
A - Slightly hazy golden straw-colored body with almost one finger of bright white head that diminished into a patchy film but left lots of lacing all over the glass.
S - Prominent grassy and citrus hop presence with hints of earthy herbs and lemon zest. While this has an obvious citrus character, it is balanced with a biscuity malt.
T - This is an extremely grassy pils with plenty of citrus flavor backed by a buttery biscuity maltiness.
M - Light to medium body with an oily texture and quite the crisp hop bite that is bitter but well-balanced. Finishes with a lingering yet clean hop bitterness.
D - In my opinion, Sly Fox's forte is making great pilsners and lagers, and this one is no exception. This is a solid Keller Bier with tons of flavor and a crisp, refreshing hop bite.
