It came to me a rich coppery amber, clear and lightly carbonated, with a dense white head that dropped slowly. A small measure of lacing draped the glass.
The aroma was initially dominated by a toasty, earthy malt sweetness that soon allowed a general spicy and floral hops presence to push through.
The first sip brought a lightly sugary grain sweetness to the fore that co-existed artfully with a floral hops bitterness that morphed into a resinous citrus current. An overall palate-drying bitterness restrained itself nicely, never overplaying its importance, but notable in its character. It finsihed dry and spicy, with woody pine notes lingering between sips. It has a lot of identity, but is simple in its basic outstanding flavor.
Medium bodied, the oily hops and moderated malt coat the palate and linger, leaving a pleasant glow behind.
Ir promises nicely, and delivers even better. I want to say it blends, and it does, but it's so basic that's not as impressive as what it does with what simpleness it possesses. Tha flavor is simply mouth-fulfilling, making every sip worth the price, whatever it may be, and the satisfaction at the end of the glass makes the likelihood of another very high indeed. It's fun to drink, and reliving it as a review it is fun as well, and that's something every beer should aspire to, I think.

The newest offering of the Fox's '05 IPA project...
It appears as a light amber color with a small white head which fades after about a minute. Carbonation seems solid as I hold it up to the light. Very little scatterings of lace as I drink the newest brew in the lineup. Aside from the lack of hearty lacing, this baby looks pretty good.
Smell of hops with a bit of a sweet maltiness and oak like smell backing it up.
Tastes pretty darn good! This almost tastes like an IPA mixed with a lager to me. It's got a nice hoppiness to it but it has a solid malty, rye/wheat-like taste. Solid. Unlike any of the other IPA's offered from Brian O in the past. Very original brew.
Mouthfeel is very full and hits all the tastebuds, as well as the sides of the mouth with a slight hop lingering. Pleasantly bitter and sweet. If I could, I woud have this on draft at my home for a month. The lager like qualities make it enjoyable and drinkable for any fan of beer.
Finger licking good!
