Poured well with a light foamy head. It looks like a delicious stout from the pour.
It had a bitter taste, but in a good way. The nose is a little pungent for a stout, but grows on you. Great in cold weather!
Overall, a nice local stout. Definitely would recommend drinking it when available on draft.

Served on draught at Royersford, PA location on 12/2/06. This is a mixture of Sly Fox's Phoenix Pale Ale and O'Reily's Stout
A - Fairly dense light brown body with small frothy tan head that mostly disappeared but left behind very nice lacing. The presence of the pale ale enhanced the overall carbonation of this selection. This was a beautiful looking glass of brew!
S - Surprisingly left a little bit to be desired. There was a light malty nose with some roasted aroma and a faint hop presence due to the pale ale. I could also sense a bit of a smokey aroma, but just a little.
T - Both initial flavor and finish was slightly bitter, but was well balanced with a rich roasted malt flavor. The finish didn't really linger around very long.
M - This is a medium bodied brew with a dry texture and soft carbonation. The finish was mildly bitter and smokey.
D - Drinks more like a pale ale than a stout. I would be more inclined to drink more of these than plain stouts in one setting, though. Overall, it's quite a good offering.

The beer pours a dark amber/brown color with a thin off-white head. The aroma is good. It has a slightly malty scent with a nice hop aroma. The taste is great. It has excellent malt complexity and balance. It also has a great hop flavor that really makes this beer. The mouthfeel is good. It is a medium bodied beer with good carbonation. This beer drinks great. I love the hops here; an awesome black and tan.

Wow what a great pour! The pour starts out out black on top and light on bottem but u can watch it come together to this great deep amber with a 1/2 inch head that never leaves and leaves some great lacing.Aroma is of highly roast malts with a nice intertwined roasty flavor with some light hoppiness coming from the pale mixed in.Very drinkable and definently tasty just a great beer.
