A - A straw golden color, with 1 finger of head retention and nice streaks of sticky lace left all over my glass
S - Light malty grain aroma, and thats it. No alcohol presence
T - Malty, grainy lager/pilsner hybrid. Any hops added? Very watered down, kind of like a keystone light
M - Well carbonated, goes down smoothly
O - Well, it is a session, so not much to be expected with this one. It is very light, which I think is what Asheville Brewery aims for. Not my cup of tea, but the masses may enjoy it

Served this 12 oz. can in a shaker pint. No date. The beer was medium gold and clear. The white head left some sticky lace on the sides of the glass.
The smell was mildly lemony. Some sweet grainy notes too. Subtle.
The taste had a lemony snap to it. Pretty bright and crisp. Crackery malts. The taste reflects the aroma well.
The mouthfeel was medium to light with moderate carbonation and a bit of slipperiness. I admire any small brewery that makes a lager. This one is not ground breaking but it was easy to drink and very clean and refreshing.

Had while at the brewpub during a visit to Asheville. Served from tap into a sampler shaker. Poured golden-yellow with a half finger bone white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, nutmeg, and skunk. The flavor was of sweet malt, spices, nutmeg, and wheat. It ahd a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a decent brew, but far from awe-inspiring. Every aspect of this one just seemed to be lacking so much that it wasn't even funny. I could see people playing beer pong with this one if I'm honest. Just the watered down aspect killed this one for me personally. Worth trying with dinner, but I would leave it at that...

reviewed from notes from a long night of tasting in asheville a while back. served from the tap into a pint glass.
Poured a hazy bright orange with a big fomay off white head. A real nice slow fade with good retention. A very nice layer of lace and just a super hazy overall look. Smell was crisp, clean and not overly biting or strong. Lightly linger and waffed through the air. Nice hint of subtle hoppiness and a blend of sugary tones. Not bad, could be stronger. First impresssion was very smooth, but then it kinda fell flat on the tongue, with a dull feel. The finish was nice and hoppy and had some lingering to it, and the overall flavor had a nice balance to it with the malt profile.
Overall this is a very nice session beer.

The description offered is a "bold and delicious" golden ale with a light hoppy finish. This beer is anything but...
Appearance: pissy yellow a la bud light, some head
Smell: Does water have a smell?
Taste: Wheat soda
Mouthfeel: carbonation a go-go
Drinkability: This would be a good beginner beer for someone who has never had a sip of any alcoholic beverage (3.2%!!!). Until then, stick to Malta Goya, it has a bit more flavor.
