This APA pours a light gold color from the tap at the brewpub. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is slightly bready some malt and hops. A medium to light bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are slightly citrusy. More of a mild English Pale Ale. Nice finish, but nowhere bitter enough for an APA, let alone an IPA. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Had this one on tap tonight for the first time. It really is not an IPA its more ofa pale ale to be honest. Poured a very hazy pale amber with a minimal head and no side lace. Some carbonation was visible. Smell was very light, lots of grain with a touch of hop in the back. The flavor was kinda off to be honest. It had some citric hop in the finish which dried it out, but the feel felt kinda light and a little slick. Decent bread malts and a light enough profile. Overall though this was an average pale, nothing really to write home about.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, reddish-copper body with a decent off-white head.

Smell: A middling caramel maltiness to the aroma, but it has a decent aromatic bite of floral, piney hops.

Taste: Caramel malt flavor with reserved sweetness upfront soon gives way to a lasting floral, piney hop character and a sensible level of bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.

Drinkability: An upright IPA.

The beer arrived on the bar lightly hazy pale golden amber with a white frothy head which lasted well to lace the glass.

The aroma was citrusy with a light floral aroma and a nice caramel backbone.

The flavor was citrusy with caramel and a nutty impression. The flavor was fruity and citrusy with a decent bittering.

The finish was dry with lasting bittering long into the aftertaste. The body was medium light and a bit watery but the mouthfeel was creamy. The beer was too bitter for a Pale Ale and the body was a bit too low for an IPA. Nice but too low in body.

Unsure if this is an IPA or not. The website lists it as a Pale Ale and it certainly behaves like one. Rated as an IPA, would be a smidge higher as a Pale Ale.

This beer is quite hoppy. There is a sweetness that just sticks to your lips. The beer is a darker golden color. There was not much head. That would have been worth another .5 in appearance. The smell is by far the best for an IPA that I have had. Hoppy, fruity, butterscotch. This smells good. The taste is very good. I am not sure what hops were used, but they were the right ones. Bo harsh bitterness, rather a sweet bitterness. The mouthfeel is good. Very smooth and a nice aftertaste to boot. The drinkability is good as well. I have an entire growler of this and it may not live to see the sun come up. This brewer has two hard hitting IPA's. Either one is a winner in my book.
